That puddle is 10 feet deep out in the middle. Snakes are good to have around also.

 

You would think that being cold blooded he would have better things to do than pester swimmers/waders!

 

They swim away if you come near them. I came in from behind to get the picture. It definitely knew I was there as it turned towards me. It's a none venomous snake.

Took a little stroll in the park yesterday before I moved on with my day

 

thanks it was the first and only time I've ever been that close to one w/o it flying off. We stood there about 10 feet apart staring at each other for almost an hour.

 

That's awesome! It's always a strange encounter when having a staring contest with a wild animal. Both don't know what each other is going to do.
