phrases you never hear anymore...

Don't hear 'punk' much anymore. Phrases like, "Hey. Get lost, punk."

Those old Starsky and Hutch episodes used to use language like that, especially when they were beating up some poor little punk.

This guy told me to "Check out the mellons on that lovely bird," at this festival once. That might be the only time I've ever heard someone call a girl a "bird" in real life. lol now I use it all the time.

I thought that was in bad taste.

*GASP!!* bite you tongue, stinky! i hear those all the time. people can really be very sweet.

 

oh, man, that whole "NOT!" thing was probably the first time in my life i wanted to punch someone full in the mouth. normally it was a debilitating gut-shot, a "get enough time to run" head-shot, a kick in the nuts...stuff like that. not that i accomplished any of those. but still, i can dream. and what i dreamed of most was punching a "NOT!" person in the mouth so hard that they were shitting teeth for days.

i love those old slang words and phrases. the older the better. one of my favorites is "that's the bees knees!" it's from the flapper days in the roaring 20's.
