Yeah, Syd's joining in the tour. Also, he hasn't aged at all. He still has his signature, long, scraggly brown hair. He's been working on new songs, too.
i would LOVE david and roger to be friends. wow. how amazing would that be? watched Live at Pompeii again twice last night, they're the worlds greatest band. Jaz
that wasn't the picture i saw, he looked cold, and fragile. pushing a shopping bag type thing, made me sad.
OK i know im new to the forums but never fear the master is here first off syd won;t be joing them Why? because syd barret took too much LSD in 1972 and is a veggie (he lives with his mom and works on her garden and then goes back inside the house) when ever he is in the outside world he needs care takers to escort him (so count him out) on the tour aspect i know Pink Floyd is planning a tour (that is without Roger Waters Lead singer and bass) However if i am mistaken and Roger is re-joining (unlikley after they sued eachother like 5 times) than floydians like me will be touring them ever concert.....and dude i pray to jerry garcia that they get back together-but after years of waiting i know better than to get my hopes up!
Dude... everyone who mentioned Syd was joking. We all know that Syd will never perform again. Also, you are not a "master." You have your facts wrong. For one, no, Syd did not take too much LSD in 1972. According to accounts, he had stopped taking the drug by that point in time. Also, Syd is not a veggie. He can walk, talk, ride a bicycle, etc. And no, he does not live with his mother. His mother is dead. Last, no, he does not need caretakers to escort him when he leaves his home. He regularly rides his bicycle to picnic lunches... alone. Before you tell people off and call yourself the Floyd "master," get your facts straight. Geez.
IMO it's highly unlikely that the Floyd (Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright) will reunite any time soon. Perhaps we'll see a tour of sorts if the stage production of The Wall draws enough interest. However, it's still not likely to mend the barriers between the powers that be. We can only hope that they will come together again for another tour (what ever the incarnation). It's quite the spectical to experience. Shine on!
are you serious?! oh. my. god. they'd better come to Australia, i'll be there for sure! oh dear...i just sat and stared open-mouthed at your post for quite some, but that would be THE most awesome thing ever!
