If Gilmour and Waters can push differences aside, they just might do it. This isn't a hopeless wish either as all four men surely understand the incredible profit a world wide Pink Floyd tour would generate. They are the greatest band alive that has all of it's members still alive. Sure they wouldn't need the money, but they would no doubt want it.
    Let us pray...

By 1972 Pink Floyd was well into Dark Side of the Moon. If I recall correctly Sid funked himself up between 1967 and 1969 with the Brilcream thing. Probably sometime before or after they did "Saucerful"......I'm not sure....Its been a long time... When I was a student of the band I used to have all that shit down like that :)

Now as for Pink Floyd joining up for a tour again. If that happened it would be without Roger and definitely without Sid and from what I seen and read David Gilmour has no need or want to tour as Pink Floyd again. In the last interview I read he was bitching about how large an undertaking it is and how they aren't young anymore and I'm sure they don't need the money. You gotta think, when Pink Floyd goes on tour its a world tour and thats a big deal.

pfft, the rolling stones still do it, and they are in their 60s. I dont buy into the whole "big undertaking" thing, really. The main reason why he doesnt do it is because they dont need to. They dont have a contract with any record company (Division Bell was their last contract obligation), they have all the money in the world that they need. The only time they were actually desperate for money was in the lat 70s, when they were making bad deals. And the last reason is that Dave is a family man now, Im sure he wants to spend more time with his kids than to spend 2 years away from them.

    Whatever man!

There is such a huge difference between Pink Floyd doing a tour and the Freakin' Stones doing one. When The Stones tour they get some bullshit lighting setup and they throw the crowd a medley crumb. When Pink Floyd tours the lighting can be seen from space and the show scatters fallout in a 80 mile radius.

    My point:

It takes a hell of alot more for Floyd to tour the way they tour than it does for the Stones.

whatever you think man...... the stones and the pink floyd had the exact same set designer for the division bell tours and the bridges to babylon tour. That man was mark brickman. The stones had a huge massive bridge that came down in between the main stage and the b-stage, they also had a huge screen surrounded by vari*lights much like that you saw for the division bell tour. The stage set up for Bridges to babylon and the Pulse videos show this. The stones put up a live performance just as big as pink floyd, and tour all over the globe.

I know the Stones tour is huge man, without a doubt. Maybe its because the Stones are running on drugs. Those guys are like maybe 150lbs between them all. Last time I saw Gilmour he had a big ol' gut. I want this to happen so that I can see them again now that I'm older. When I was 14 I was so excited and high that I didn't bring it all in like I should have. I could use another. :)
