Everyone has the right to do what they want, but it seems silly to me - I am much, much more in favor of reacting to more local stuff, stuff that concerns YOU.
There's so much shit going on here, let's protest about that, and leave anti-trump solidarity protests to Americans.

Maybe that has to do with that the Saudi embassy doesn't represent them, their country or their values in any way.

I'M JOKING!!!! (And for those of you who don't know what I am talking about, I am referring to the thread I started that suggested wearing an Arab head scarf in protest against the Isamophobia Trump has fired up.)


I am not going to read through all the posts here, but let me just say that anyone who doesn't support this protest is probably ignorant of the plight of women and how Trump is pushing policies, and picking people for his administration, that want to set women's rights back to the 1950's. We are all human beings and there should not be anyone who is marginalized or placed into a category of second class citizens.


If you are offended by a pussyhat then my advice is to grow up. If you are a male and feel threatened by the empowerment of women, then you are the one feeling entitled and you are quickly becoming a relic of a past. If you feel that all this is a big ado about nothing then you are ignorant and enjoying a life of entitlement that is marginalizing half the population. If you are female and t hink that way then you are ignorant and probably brainwashed by religious dogma.

The rally in my city today. It was hard to get a good picture showing the scope of the crowd because it was held in a park with a lot of nooks.amd crannies, but its a huge park and was completely full! Not a bad turn out for a conservative city in a conservative state in pouring down rain.

We only had one umbrella, when we parked I asked if we should go buy another one first because the heavens opened up but we decided to venture on..as soon as we stepped out of the car a lady walked up and said she brought an extra umbrella in case someone needed one and did i want it?

Things like that always have the oddest way of working out for me and reaffirms, in the smallest but most endearing way possible, my faith in humanity
