I completely agree with smoking to your favorite music.

I also was on anxiety/depression medication on and off for the past 10 years. After about 2 years without any meds I started taking Prozac again. A couple months later (about a year ago) I started smoking pot(thanks to my bf :p). Initially it was fine, but around last December I hit a really low point.

I've been suffering from panic attacks my whole life, and as much as I knew Prozac actually can increase panic and anxiety, I was more concerned about my severe depression I was suffering at the time - I could hardly get out of bed, very suicidal. And from past experience I knew that Prozac kind of gave me an extra pep for the day, so I decided to retake it.

But, last December/January I experienced a crazy trip experience. What had sparked it was me abruptly not taking my meds as I had run out. I had lost my job that month and was waiting on my new insurance to go through. So, I had no meds for 2 weeks straight and had a complete trip out. It is too lengthy to describe the whole experience, but overall I decided I needed to get off the meds. As I read more about anti-depressants and anti-anxiety pills, I was completely convinced it was better for me to get off all together. Now, I'm SO much better. I still smoke pot, but I've realized it has been a better depression/anxiety medicine thaen any other medication I've tried. It's natural and I don't fucking trust what they put in those capsules! When I get stressed out or feel anxiety, I smoke a bowl and I feel completely fine. Even when I'm utterly depressed and crying, I smoke a bowl and forget what I was crying about! It's awesome! But, that's just me. Everyone's different, and I know there are people out there who do great with antidepressants. For me, my body just couldn't take it. I felt more crazy on the meds than off! Pot definitely helps me mellow out.

Sorry, lengthy response, but going back I agree with the music to help you. Or chill with friends (if they smoke too) and smoke some bowls and watch something funny.

I'm on Paxil (and other anti-depressants for 15 years, i'm 39) and on Lamictal (a mood stablilizer) and these both help with any and all anxiety/panic attacks. I had to stop smoking for a while before i started these mood stabilizers. Now i can smoke and or eat a lot more than anyone i know. They keep me from getting spun out, and also keep me from getting too high. It's good and bad, as you may imagine. It's all very subjective, but this has been my experience. I can smoke anyone under the table so to speak, but i'm not sure if this is good or bad. Who's to say what is good or bad. Certainly not myself.

Christ! Someone needs to say more.

Sativas and Indicas are different, so it's hard to quanitfy a high into such simple catagories. Moods and or feelings and something or another can make each high different. As far as i'm concerned there's no quantifying a high.
