poi spinners out there?

i love circus skills! i wanna juggle so bad. i just cant. *crys hopelessly*

we are spinning at a party in a week or so, I don't have to much of a plan, hopefully me and my roomate will do some double stuff and some fire eating gand my friend has fire fans so it should be good I think.

i spun for the first time this summer at a psy trance festival in hungary
it was scary, but so much fun and i'm really glad i got pushed into doing it
the people that i was with they did it too, this one dreadie guy was teaching me and he was so good at it

it's actually one of th easier trick to do, it mostly just takes courage more then like technical skills like poi or staff- that being said I think it's important to have someone teach you face to face so that you know how to now injure yourself. I was in san fran last summer and this dude I was hanging out with showed me to do it and i've taught many many people since then, it always gets sweet responces.

lol, ya it is kind of scary at first. me and the dude (who is a fucking brilliant fire spinner) were performing at a really loose sort of little party and were sittingg at the bar and he wasdoing fire eatingg tricks and just handed me a burning torch and was like- ok just ok straight back and I just did it. It was really funny.

and jess, I'll have my equiptment when I go home so you can try and stuff- and opel diamond if I lived in the UK my stuff would be open to you also Do you live in a city- there are often fire groups even in cities where you would not expect and they could help you.

 

i live in the arse end of nowhere at the minute, about as alternative as it gets here are the rebels kids riding bikes without baskets on the front, but i will moving.....in two and a half years *sigh*

 

that can be sweet though, like when I go home to my moms now and then where there are not many fire spinner people always are STOKED! ...and think I'm a freak...but like it's fun to spin for people who don't see people spin often.

 

thats a good point, i will be a rareity, especially as most people here are in gods waiting room, i dont think there out spinnin the poi down the raves.

Nice the first time i spun staff i didnt have a hat on and was a little drunk and i ust forgot about a hat and i was going to fall down and the staff burnt he hell out of my hair it sucked but it was all good

Yeah it was fun but its ok that was a while ago. I can spin drunk now. Ive did it with out getting burnt
