Police Kill Naked Man Eating Another Naked Man's Face

Yup. All that being said though, it would be a lie for me to say that I wouldnt have probably emptied a clip in the guy as well if I was that cop.

 

I agree - US cops are too quick to open fire. I am used to police brutality here in London, but they don't usually call out an armed response unit unless someone is armed - but we are less hysterical here.

Surely the police could have had the ability to have removed and restrained one man from eating another? If not, then they need retraining by some professionals, not bad video games.

 

OK, maybe my pic of 20 police cars on the scene contributed to this but that was after the fact when they all got there.

There was ONE POLICE MAN first on the scene. He is the ONE who shot the crazy cannibal. So, don't use the plural form of police when faulting the ONE POLICE MAN who came upon a horrendous sight in progress, and a perp who would not desist but merely growled at him and continued mutilating the victim.

Like I said earlier, it is easy to say what the cop shoulda done from the comfort of your keyboard, but you were not in the fray. And, the info of what happened is just coming to light five days later. Wait till we get the facts before passing judgment - that is our system of jurisprudence.

 

I am sorry, but one trained policeman should be able to restrain one man - If not he is in the wrong profession.

 

How many super strong, out of their mind, feeling no pain, crazy ppl have you restrained by yourself?

I worked in a psych hospital and got pretty torn up with several other male aides taking down acute psychotic patients who were out of control. I would not venture to go it one-on-one.

So, tell me how many, or are you just sitting at your keyboard telling me how it "should have been done"

A number - I am a Judo Black Belt also familiar with Ju Jitsu in a long term sporting capacity and I have removed a number of violent and drunken individuals, much stronger than myself, from a building many times when working in a London pub. I also have an uncle and my father who have served in the Parachute Regiment, and my uncle has served with special forces here for a term. I grew up in South London and have personally been in more fights than I would really have preferred, so yes, I know what I am talking about.

A trained police officer should be able to restrain one unarmed man rather than shoot him dead.

 

I agree with this. It's the most basic of all human instinct to not eat another human being. I don't think you can train someone for actually walking into this scenerio. I would have been awestruck. It was bullet worthy IMO.

 

thats disgusting and wrong one way or the other. kiling people is wrong and rabid people who eat other people have no hope for rehabilitation in my opinion, shoot the cannibal is the right course really. save humanity! lol

NPR and other news outlets are suspecting "Bath Salts" as the drug behind this messed up situation.

NPR describes it as an amphetamine like high while CNN compares it to the NEW LSD...what the fuck?!?!?! I'm no expert, and have not taken bath salts, but damn.

I hope they do an autopsy, they have to right? If LSD gets an even worse name because of this, it will be a shame.

Just like several of you all said, I first suspected PCP as the culprit...

The last time I checked no police force in the country covers this type of situation in training.

Not to mention the cop had no idea as if this was fueled by drugs, severe dehydration, or some horrible contagious disease. The policeman had a second to react and under the circumstances I think his reaction was justified.

 

shooting that guy was definitely the best thing. imagine being him, waking up the next day and realizing you ate someones face off... and everyone knows who you are and what you did

 

Yea, I completly agree.. that the cop did the right thing when he shot the man eating the other man's face.
I think the man that was eating the guys face was beyond being able to feel pain of a tazer gun..... and what if he tazed the guy and the man that was eating the guys face just turned on the cop and decided to eat the cop's face too? Do you think the cop really wanted to take the chance of approaching a tazed face eating man? He was obviously in no right state of mind drugs or not. Even though I wouldn't doubt it if the guy was fucked on some PCP and i wouldn't doubt it if he had some kind of already existing mental issues. Not a chance many people would want to take... Think of what you would do in that situation?


If i was that cop i would have shot him also. and like said above he didn't have a lot of time to react and also like she said its not like face eating men are something they are trained to deal with ... I would hope or think that all of those people will recieve some kind of mental counseling. The biker, cop and i would hate to been the EMT even....

 

What if the only drug that came up in the toxology report was cannabis?
