Texas has done nothing different with their grid over last year's beside repair the ice damage - nor allow connecting into any real surrounding grids other than the peak producing bandits. One would be lead to believe, Texas, the great oil and gas producer they are, would have a lot of gas fired heat. Nope, much of it heat pump and when it's cold like that it switches over to big demand toaster heat, no wonder it crashed before. Then he gets on TV and blares "of course there will be outages...".
