Anyway, just to toss in my two cents. I feel most religion are just answers that fill the blanks in our lives. God is just a person and a reason for everything that we have no answer for. We have questions, "We are here because ___." "After we die we ____." "He killed everybody because he's ___"

We don't KNOW the answers for sure. Somebody along the line felt the urge to fill these blanks, and god came from there. God made us, We go to heaven or hell, and we are filled with evil or good.

Faith is great for people who feel that they need to belong to something. Mainly for recovery purposes, but we should be raised to search for our answers.

But I dont mind what anybody feels, what ever gets them through the day is great.

 

At the moment God and Satan are probably lighting a bong with each other just having a good time laughing at this thread.

God loves all his creation supposedly so yes they could be.

 

They don't need to as the high you get from your higherself and eternal bliss is greater than anyother high you could EVER experience.

The traditional "hell" and "devil" might not exist, but Satan surly does, as does the state of hell.

 

Good and Evil are human constructs. Considered objectively (i.e without a filter of human prejudice) any act or event is simply an event. A cascade of neutrons can cause a nuclear explosion or power an entire city. There is no difference in the "goodness" of each event, only in our interpretation of each event.
To the people getting hit by the blast, the blast is Evil. To those firing the weapon, the blast is Good, because it gets rid of enemy fighters (along with some collateral damage).

Does calling them "human constructs" diminish their significance for you? What exactly are you saying? That it's okay to do whatever you feel like doing, regardless of the harm to others?

Scripture indicates that all of God’s works are perfect.

For there to be a hell then He would need to goof on the production of perfect souls.

This is not possible therefore there can be no hell to store His goofs when He cannot goof.
