I've only skimmed thro this thread, but I have to say, some of the comments absolutely made my jaw drop.

For what its worth, I'm from a "secular country" ie there is a State religion but its more about Judeo-Christian values being the basis for the Society. Or atleast it has been, to some considerable extent.

Certain parts of Christianity and other religions, there are issues of interpretation. However, the ARE some immutable areas. Strangely, some people now think its cool to "hate" Judeo-Christian religion.I'm trying to figure out the demographic of these groups. Well there seem to be some radical homosexuals, transgenders, homosexual adoption activists and the like. I've also seen some people who've decided to create their own little concept of a religion, with differing motives and rationales.

Recently I had a debate here on homosexual demands for marriage rights in the way the State sponsors heteresexuals. The debate turned into one on homosexual adoption.
I departed the thread because I dont see the point debating with extreme radicals. It was interesting that the poster I disagreed with was actually suggesting that adults having sexual relationships with 13year olds was, and I paraphrase "something for society to open its mind to".(Its in the "age of consent" thread in Love&Sex- with George Takei's pic, if u want the exact gist of it all)

It amazes me that homosexual marriage and adoption radicals and other groups think its ok to harrange our ancient system of Judeo-Christian values and institutions. Whilst at the same time claiming they have some sort of "moral protection" against their own views being questioned.

The most drawdropping point of all for me, is to brand "all"(was that right?) Christian scholars and preachers as (and I paraphrase here again) "perverts, paedos and the like". Perhaps someone can confirm the exact wording of it all, so I don't wade thro 30 pgs..

Sometimes I read something on the Net and think "what the hell has society become".
Then I read a forum somewhere, look at the amount of thumbs up, and think "yeah, so its not *just* me that still thinks this way".

All I can say is, I'm glad the truth is still the truth. Not just whats currently "cool".
Doubtless Hitler, Jimmy Savile, David Koresh, George Takei and the like all had their ideas on what was "cool".

Personally, I think I'd go to places other than those four for any moral and spiritual guidance...Maybe I'm not "cool" tho..

Well, it seems you are siding with 'everyone else' here. So if you dislike this versus stance as much as I do why not distantiate yourself from it. It's not as black and white as all priests are pedo's and all christians deny gay rights and all non believers are bettering mankind obviously so why?
