I remember when I was very young wanting toys for Christmas... Each year I would make a "wish list". And when I remember those days so many many years ago, I always reflect on the ones I didn't get, and forget the ones I did receive from my parents, or from Santa Claus. Here are 'Voltron' and 'Skystriker'. My parents probably didn't want to set a precedent that I got everything I wanted, 'spoiled', but now that I think about it (I'm 42, but this is the first time honestly; and I will share this with them so they can laugh now that they're 80), I had a lot of toys! He-man, GI Joe, and then Ninja Turtles (when I was old enough to leave toys behind)... and even baseball cards, and several bicycles (a blue one by Schwinn, a black & yellow BMX knockoff, and then a mountain bike (not to mention the Legnano that got stolen from college; but that one was theirs from the 70s). I had a lot of things, but I never gave them credit. Years later, we don't focus on gifts for Christmas. And this year's black Friday has arrived, and I'm not motivated at all about getting a good price; It doesn't really matter to me. I really have a lot to be thankful for. Thanks, mom & dad!
