We never had cable! And the newspaper used to come with a black-and-white newspaper "TV Guide" summary that would show everything that was going to be on TVs several channels; I think the top regular channel was 13, then UHF which I believe was paid programming that in our area was channel 28. I think cable television also listed their programming, but we only had 2 (CBS), 4 (NBC), 5 (KTLA), 7 (ABC), 9 (KCAL), 11 (KTTV), and 13 (KCOP). I remember Walker Texas Ranger! But by that time (that was in the 90s unless I'm remembering wrong) I had basically completely stopped watching TV at all and would barely play video games; I had become preoccupied with my (extremely negative) social life, and wasn't doing well.
