Suicide as a punchline says all kinds of unpleasant things about our society. That was Kathleen Hanna's best friend.

There's been debate about whether or not this song was about Kurt, but his loss certainly had to have affected her during the writing process.

 

Ah, the release of 55 MIA/POW remains from North Korea....

 

Was at a coffee shop and picked up a Chinese copy of 1984. Gonna have to make use of it in the upcoming school year. I've also got the English version here.

I know a guy that will help me translate it so I can work on my Chinese (translating stuff I already know really helps).

 

Honestly, I'm surprised you feel that way. I feel it is our human duty to bring humor to any and all situations. Especially the darkest most fucked up ones. As long as it's understood that making light of the important doesn't equate lack of respect for the important.
