    Like the Meershum Eric matey. Many, many years ago I used to smoke a pipe - a falcon with a detachhable bowl. Before I used it, placed bowl in a glass of 'Navy' rum and left it in there for three weeks to absorb all the rum. Then left it a further three weeks to dry out. When eventually I did get round to using it, the smell and taste of the 'navy' rum was fabulous !!!

    Yes Eric matey, I do too, but we can't get 'real' navy rum over here anymore, ever since the government stopped issuing the rum ration to navy matelots back in the 1960s.
