This song has been popping into my head for a week or two now. Maybe if I post it here it will go away. It's one of the saddest songs I've heard.

The title says "by Sonny Bono" because he wrote it for Cher and the singer here is Nancy Sinatra from what I gather.

I know it's just a dumb pop song, but I wish I'd had this a few weeks ago when things were a little darker... Feeling good about where I am now and how I have grown as a person over the past couple of years, but mostly the last few months. Dedicating this to all the ladies (and gents) that have been there and hear these words all too well. You'll get through it. You will know yourself so much better and be so much stronger when it's over. Take as much time as you need. Listen to all the dumb sad songs you want. Heal, grow and take care of yourself.

 

Already posted it somewhere else, I shall save you from it, but the Hokey Cokey(Pokey in the US it seems) has been playing incessantly over the past 4 or 5 days.

I'm adopting it as my mantra, even though it's annoying as fuck the hilarity is so worth it.
