That video that Justin posted is extremely disorienting! Even sitting here watching it. I'm no good off my feet---i get dizzy/sick just going on one of those swings at fairs. The Teacup with the back on it freaked me out when my grand daughter and I went on it. The earth spinning--the stars in the background moving---just nothing to relate to for me. "Solid" earth for me!

i was poor...only the rich kids had computers

a cousin had a vic 20 but since i was one of the youngest in the bunch i was never allowed to touch it...first computer i ever used was probably late 80's in our gifted class...i think it was a c64 but i was not interested and didnt pay much attention...in highschool we had a room full of PET and ICON..by grade 11 we had windows 3.1 and i would just play solitaire...i would pay other people to type up my work if it needed to be on computer

my first computer was purchased a few months before my join date here :biker:

Believe it or not, my first computer was a Kaypro 2000 Laptop, back in 1986!
It even came with a docking station, where you could put an extra floppy drive.

This was the first portable computer to resemble today's laptops.

All the rest were bulky, the size of a small suitcase (like the Compaq - remember them?).

My Kaypro came with Wordstar, Lotus 1,2,3, and dbase as well as a few little apps like calendar.

You had to manually load each program from a 720K 3 1/2" floppy to the RAM (it had 1 MB!) to get it load.

This was one of the first computers to use 3 1/2" floppies.

The first computer I ever used was an IBM 360 in 1971. :)

that was so obnoxious to watch.. they are all fucking crazy. I would have just walked up to that lady and said, "Oh, this is anyone's rhubarb? So I can just do this then" and proceed to piss all over it.
