oddly enough, i'd already seen those colorized ones about historical new york.
in 1939 my mom (who was born on the ship coming over from poland before the holocaust,
was a babe in arms going through ellis island, grew up there) was 19 and had known my dad less then a year.

there are similar ones about san francisco. (which i'm too lazy to go look up and link)
