Praying is a Superstitious belief.

when people talk about god, they are most often projecting their own prejudices which are unlikely to have anything to do with whatever god or gods may actually happen to exist.

as for prayer, it's all about if you're feeling a sense of connectedness and if doing so is brining that to you. reguardless of what the specifics of your own personal belief might happen to be.

i would have to add also, that god or gods, should it/they choose to exist, can never please everybody, no matter how powerful it/they might be, when people pray for directly and mutualy exclusionary things.
