Like I said before, the Egypyian predates the Hebrew by a long time. In ancient Egyptian religion, Amen is the creator god. Amen is a different god then Ra. To people that worshipped the other gods/goddesses in the pantheon more but did not want to disrespect Amen added the other name to it, such as Amen-Ra. The pharaohs also added names togather also such as Tutahnkhamen (is Tut-Anhk-Amen ). The name Amen is also said not to be the god's true name because it was forbidden to say his true name. If said the universe would dissolve(and be destroyed) because it in itself contained it and was it.
thanks for the new info dd3stp233. Didnt know the depth of it like that. Wouldn't know to much, not my pantheon. But always good to learn.
This doesnt have much to do with amen but someone said it was in there 99 times.... something similar also appears. Pslams 46 in the king james version... count 46 words starting with the first word and you have Shake. Go to the end of it and count 46 words backwards and you have Spear. Shake spear...
I know that Trippin... I just think its just very odd. 46 psalms, 46 words from the start and 46 words backwards from the end and you get that. It probably means nothing just a cool trick to do
Amen (Ah-main) means "truly" in Hebrew or "So let it be." Christians say it because after praying, people close prayer just as you would conclude a song or top a sundae with a cherry. It is finished.
