haha... i would not know....never had it....Just was the better choice over the alternative, imo. He does have class....and look what he accomplished being the first black President of the USA.
the sooner we realize that the president, whoever it is, is owned by big business...the better we will be....This is the reason Jesse will not run....unless he is drafted or something, he said....

 

Your stance on this and Obama is interesting to me because I know plenty of black people who are disappointed or even flat out angry with Obama and I have heard them say (numerous times) that they are NOT giving him a pass just because he is black.

I find it a bit crazy to say someone is a source of pride JUST BECAUSE of their color. Sure, if he was doing a great job... I can see saying that. Or even if he was doing a bunch of great things for the black community, ditto. But since that is not the case, then, crazy.

 

In most instances, his hands have been tied....but I guess it is just easier to blame him for everything.....

 

I actually blame him for nothing but being a puppet. Because that's all he is is a puppet. It would be very difficult for him to be anything else. But you're sure as hell not gonna see me singing his praises either when he DOES have to do with some things I'm strongly against- for one, drone strikes.

 

but my point was that all US Presidents nowadays are puppets...some are just closer to what their puppeteers want.

 

This either or for candidates, and arguing about it and focusing our disliking, anger or whatever, is diverting us all from what is really going on behind the scenes.....and goes nowhere.....

 

True. Cept I don't focus at all on disliking Obama or focusing on what he does... like it's something personal with HIM. He's no different than many other previous or future puppets also.

All I was personally saying was that not all black people have the mentality that just because Obama is black he is a source of pride and whatever else Hotwater said... I was just saying that some black people also believe he should EARN being a source of pride.
And although I do not think Obama is the worst and any worse than plenty of other puppets, I do think he has plenty of personal blame. Shrugs.

 

Who is the puppet master? I think it is the ideology of fear.

Yes, because you're an expert on all black people, right? As far as I knew all black people were different-with some having your basic attitude on Obama.... and some saying they won't/don't support him just because he's black and will judge him by his actions. What I'm saying doesn't mean people aren't and shouldn't be (including myself as I voted for him one or two times) happy that we have finally had a black president in this country and proud of the fact that now we have had a black president. That's progress. But that doesn't mean that every single black person, Hotwater, thinks that Obama is a source of pride and that he is doing a wonderful JOB just because he's black.

I'd say a good bit of black people DO have your attitude towards it. But... well, do you want me to get started quoting the NUMEROUS black people- I'm talking about famous ones, and mostly liberal and/or in the entertainment business (everyone from journalists to rappers) who have publicly said that they feel your exact attitude is erroneous?

 

And btw, Hotwater, little lame don't you think- that instead of responding to what I SAID- you know, about your mentality towards Obama... you respond with, well, nothing on that except- ohhhh, you're black and I'm not and therefore you know ALL black people and can speak for all of them and I know none of them and can't say what plenty of them have said (a DIFFERENCE of opinion on how they view things from you... there is more than one school of thought!) either to me or publicly?

I think when I have either personally or publicly heard at LEAST 30 black people say basically what I said to you (and sometimes much, much worse, harsher things than anything I'd say!), then I can tell you... gee, I think your attitude is a bit silly, Hotwater. And tell you that that is not the only viewpoint that the "black community" has.

 

Money is as money does. Fear gives meaning to the military industrial complex and the more fear the more money it gets fed. I am not talking about fear mongering, I am talking about people who are actually afraid. Obama changed his no secrets stance because he was afraid to upset the security system, convinced it is vital to security and more cynically if that is your view, the politicos wouldn't want Obama to seem weak on national defense in order to increase his political influence.

Weren't the born again evangelicals proud of Bush? Is it anymore crazy to say a newly constructed bunch of religious zealots were approving of Bush than it is say that Blacks had a bit of pride that FINALLY a black man had become president?

 

personal I don't know im not black,but I did hear a man say judge not a man by the color of his skin but by the content of his Character ,i must have missed the part that said unless your black,after all all my family ever lost was north America ,and 80 % of there loved ones.I don't say this in anger ,just look around you ,is anyone outside thous that work for government doing any better,I think he should be impeached along with bush and channy ,and clintions. and a lot of congress i have no party loyalty because eater side will screw you over if thy have a chance,you people as mine fought for freedom ,and its our responsibility to keep it, trust is earned,best wishes to you
