I agree on the second point, and there seems to be considerable evidence that it's true. But as far as the world ending, why should I believe that? It may be in for some major changes, but I don't see it ending.

things change. are always changing. worlds don't exactly end. not all at once with people still living on them anyway.

the web of life IS however threatened by humanty's short sighted stupidity. which isn't inhierent either. rather there is this self serving mechanism called corporate capitolism, which is completely blind to its real effects on anything other then the conjugating of symbolic value. on a big enough world with a small enough sentient population, this wouldn't be a problem. whether human population was small enough, even a century ago, to get away with it is uncertain. what isn't uncertain is that human population is no longer small enough now.

there's no absolute date/timeline for certain, but the trendline is unmistakable.
it is also, hopefully still, reversable.

2012 could be the year thermal runaway passes some point of no return, or it could be the year we get our heads our of our assess about it. most likely though, it will prove neither. maybe it will be the year the last global climate change denier admits they were full of shit.

 

lol agreed. Nobody knows when the world will start over.. or end in my opinion. I believe that Jesus is coming back for the rapture.. then the 7 years.. then the final fight between God and Satan.

They also say the ones of us who jesus takes back will become angels.. and we will fight in the final battle ourselves. WOULDN'T THAT BE SO NEAT?!
