Protests Mount Against TSA Body Scans and Pat Downs

TSA needs to re-trained. Not for safety, pat downs or whatever else is in their guildline, but for social management. They need to learn how to treat people with respect.

I also 90% against body scanners. I dont care whether someone else goes in them, I dont care whether they see me naked in them, I care about the radiation level. The fact is, TSA does this for our safety, which I agree upon but, all need to fully re-trained within new guildlines. Customers also need to learn their rights, but also agree on the safety up a certain level. Im up for pat-down, if needed, but I make sure they treat me right before they approach me, all it takes is a few words and caution.

^ As for that guy, he wasted 2.5 hours for what? Nothing. He could have went through a metal dec,big deal. I understand his concerns about the body scan and the pat-down but its also his and others safety on the plane. I would want every person to be checked (wih respect), while this guy only put his things under scan. Just a person who had lots of time on his hands.

to me the radiation factor doesn't hold a candle to the fact that the full body scan is an utter and complete sham infringing on our rights. assumption of guilt, unreasonable search and seizure for instance. some dick burned his pecker off with explosive underwear. mksay now we have to suffer for it? some dick on the news was talking about how the opt out day on november 24 is going to negatively impact innocent people by jamming up the airports. hang on... imposing full body scans and invasive pat downs is negatively impacting innocent people by jamming up the airports. at what price does safety come???

TSA can only touch you if their the same sex as you,
They have to use the back of their hand to pat you down.. more like a flow, than a pat,
as well as know not to carry things that will ensure you for "special" treatment. I fly mostly every year out of the country and never had trouble with the TSA (unless I did something wrong, such as carry over the limit liquids, my fault and I agreed with them).

As well as, other countries, dont have high security measures such as USA, I never had to take my shoes off, get touched when travelling from europe. Other countries that arent well equip, do pat you down! Its a step we take when flying.

Plus the scanners, dont even see you fully nude, so what if they keep pictures, do see your detailed vagina? Your doctor, your partners, nurses etc, see you naked in detail.

Well, don't forget male genitalia is on the outside and those scanners show the size and shape very clearly.

 

Actually, they changed that policy. TSA can touch you palms-forward now. That's why women are getting their breasts cupped.

I am actually really surprised at how many people are worried about their genital image being captured by a scan. No one appears to be worried as much about the possible hazards of infertility from it.

Do you think that some radical group is going to get a hold of the information and start a reality show of the biggest dick in America?

I now hear that certain explosives are not detected by dogs, pat downs or backscatter "almost naked" x-rays.

That leaves literal nudity as the way to prevent explosives from getting on the plane.

It can be done in private by same-sex screeners, no need to touch you nor x-ray you.

It already takes 20 seconds for a backscatter x-ray.
Take a few seconds longer to protect your body from x-rays and protect our planes from explosives.

We are all naked at a medical checkup, naked in the gym locker room. This is no different.

 

There's not cameras in locker rooms and your doctor's office. Also I've never been frisked in a locker room and most of the time I've gone to the doctor my clothes except my shirt stayed on. Doctors are supposed to know the intimate details of your body, the TSA is not.

I don't see the need for cameras unless they actually catch you with explosives on your body and they would use that as evidence for the prosecution. Otherwise, they should not use cameras.

I see no need for frisking if you are naked. One agent (your sex) can stand a few feet away. No touch needed.

And I hate to break the news, but everyone knows what everyone else looks like naked. We are all human.

If they find explosives on you, they then jump into their handy time machine and zip back to before the exam and turn the cameras on???

not everyone is comfortable with other people seeing them naked.

I mean I'll go nude in public if I know I wont certainly be arrested for it but in some creepy dimly lit room with one other person that I don't know? fuck that

but what about bombs they can swallow, don't we need to xray inside of them to see? what if the person going on the plane is a bomb that just LOOKS like a person?! fuck, I posted that on an internet forum so the terrorists will find it and use my idea and now we're all fucked. The terrorists win

 

I wonder if the fear is that some little cutie is monitoring the scan and smiling and saying "nothing there"!
