I don't think with have to be proud of our country, I think the Me isn't a society it is a human being before all, maybe we need to be a citizen of a country but it is not necesserly the one that correspond the more to ourself even if some philosophies tell us that education is part of the ME. (Sorry but it is difficult for me to explain it in english, it's also a difficult issue in my mothertong). And as a french, i'll say that i hate bush, and war of course, but we must judge you(americans) (as a lot of european may probably do). Generalisation is not a good thing to my mind.

American? no? I do reside in America but I do not belong to it nor do I take pride in my residence. Pride in a country turns into nationalistic pride, turns into prejudice, and untimatly to racisium. I'm proud to be a vegan, an animals lover, a plant lover, and an animal rights ativist...never pround to be apart of a land mass.
America didnt put a man on the moon to aid learning purposes or to do anything successful, in fact it was for a very stupid reason, to show how much better were supposidly were than Russia. Racisium is far from over. Look at who is rich in America, Caulcasians are rich and 2nd place is African Americans, Below then Hispanics, then Asians, And at poverty level other minorities. Not to say it goes for all but look at all the store owners, do you see any Caulcasian store owners? Eventhough it's not called racisium we can obviously have work to do.
