Bump (maybe) for my cognitive psychedelic experiment perhaps tonight.

Plan: 25 mg of 4aces (I don't want to trip way hard, it would blow the experiment)
Before hand, play a game of Set. http://www.setgame.com/set/
Drop, start another game at first alerts... then another as I come on.
Compare performance. I've been curious to do this since the idea occurred to me.
I'm going to try this with a completely sober but psychedelic friendly friend of mine. This is all contingent on a discussion we have to do before hand, completely unrelated.

Haven't gotten the game down at all yet, but is it the sort of thing you're gonna get better at the more you play it? Over the night I mean, if you've had two games in one evening, is the third gonna be much easier cause you're in the zone?

 

I haven't a clue. I've played a few times with this friend of mine, we don't follow the format of the online version tho. My ability is sometimes bad, sometimes better. I don't know why.
But being perceptional/cognitive, there is a certain amount of 'training' your thinking involved.

I'm tempted to think I won't be able to keep my mind focused on one thing long either. Hence the reason to play at different stages of the trip.

 

My girlfriend, brother and had a 2C-E trial on Thursday night.

My girlfriend and I took 30+, my brother took 80. I wanted to be on the same page as my girlfriend. It was her first trial.

Clouds were forming around the moon in the shape of the Mandelbrot set. 30 mg is not quite enough to experience what I have in the past.


Also, 30 mg did ALMOST NOTHING for my 5'3 110 lbs girlfriend. She said that she feld slightly lightheaded and could not focus on one thing. That was the only difference she experienced. This was very weird and still is.


Other notes: My brother's Buddha statue was covered in what appeared to be ants. After analyzing it more closely, it was the same Mandelbrot patterning that I saw around the moon. Nothing else was covered in this pink and green patterning. I don't think the statue itself has any significance, but I think what it represents does. If all of existence is one thing and essentially "god" (for lack of a better word) hiding (It seems that it is us hiding from that fact) the fact from itself, I could see "hints" being shown and maybe this my brother and I both seeing this patterning and him being reduced to tears holding the statue is a hint of what we are keeping a secret from ourselves.


2C-E (2C-Existence) continues to amaze me. The phrases world-changing and life-changing come to mind.

Those of you that have taken the plunge of a dose of 70 mg have to know what I am talking about.

These experiences have made me not only understand lao-tzu much more, but view him as absolutely correct.

 

Well, experiment completed and quite interesting and fun. Was way better than i expected... tripping moderately with a straight friend.

I dropped about 10:30 and we played a game while the 4 ace made it's way. What was most excellent was that our first game while I was still straight came out a tie. A great baseline to start from. We played slowly, talking and not seriously competing. The second game as I came up went differently, talking about perception and looking at the cards from different views, standing up, one side, another, standing behind each other and viewing from their perspective. Needless to say, there was so much variety and my mind had a hard time staying focused on one task and not running off on finding different connections. We played on a wood table and I kept finding contrast between the white backgrounds of the cards, and the wood grain. At one point instead of laying the cards out straight and in a grid pattern we mixed them up all over. Interestingly, that didn't make the game any harder for me, it was just the same.
In the end, I lost that second game but many concepts came up during the game that took us off on a tangent. We decided to sort all the cards to see if there were duplicates, or, what the card count should be and to find patterns, like if you sorted a normal deck by suit and number. We found there's 81 cards, no duplicates, and can be sorted linearly or oriented like a x-y graph. Was fun.
Then, we got off on a tangent about how Set can be applied other ways and proceeded to sort the elements of her living room into catagories. For some reason I kept feeling the need to interject light and/or time into each catagory we came up with such as shape, color, texture, etc. She had a hard time agreeing with me on that
Outside of that, we discussed ideas and spent time sharing our backgrounds a bit, was kind of insightful. One thing that was so awesome was for a bit she shared some items she had for years, an arrowhead made in modern times, and an odd natural stone shaped very much like an arrowhead that was examined by a museum and found to be natural, not man made.
The most visual experience though was talking about a very cool tiffany lamp she has, and alongside it a photograph of the northern lights in Finland in the town of her ancestory. The pattern of the light on the wall from the lamp, alongside that photo, the images sort of swayed in unison, sort of with the music playing. When I commented on that, she got up and got the picture to bring to where we were sitting and when she took it down off the wall, the movement stopped. I commented it was like a couple dancing, and the girl just up and left and the guy just stood there. Was funny but awesome.
In the end, I found 25mg of 4 ace to be great at finding connections between seemingly unrelated objects and concepts (duh, its a psychedelic) but at that amount not good at enhancing cognitive attention. It was interesting enough to want to try again, changing a few things. It makes me wonder what would be the result of a microdose, as thismoment talks about. Or playing without music, which was a big distraction but was on during both games.
In the end, a fun exercise, with a cool friend. Good times.

 

Interesting CR... I've not done 70 but at 50 I sort of know what your saying. 2Ce is pretty heavy psychedelically at those levels, I just wish it didn't mess with my body like it does.

Also curious about the lack of depth for your girl. 30 should have gotten deeper than that especially for a first time, perhaps PEA's don't work well for her. Much as the 4 subbed trypts don't do much for GM.
Maybe a 4 ace experience will prove to be more to her liking. Or like you and your bro, maybe more 2C is in order... :2thumbsup:

 

It's really just 4-AcO-DMT that does not work for me. 4-HO-MiPT is my favorite but that isn't saying much because I haven't tried a lot of them. I still have 4-AcO-DET, 4-AcO-MiPT, and Iprocin that I haven't tried yet plus a plethora more I am interested in buying. But I really really enjoy Miprocin and LSD together. The visuals are spectacular. Alone it's great but not much of a mind fuck, which I like but with the LSD it was much more mushroomy visual and body wise.

Anyway, Decided to go to the APC show sober. Well forcibly decided because I couldn't afford anything in time and I don't wanna take anything that is new to me in a public setting in an unfamiliar area. I have a bit of 2C-E left but I am unsure about using that public as well. Not that I need droogz to enjoy APC . Next weekend! SO excited! Will be my second time seeing them. They put on an awesome show. Last time was general admission and didn't get good seats but these seats are bangin. I had three computers open on ticketmaster to ensure I got the seats I wanted lol. They sold out within 45 min. Tool is the same way, if you ever tried getting Tool tix you know that game.

My bad, I thought I recall you saying most trypts don't work well for you.

I had a trial with 4 ho dipt and was quite unimpressed with 30mg. I'll revisit it one day but when setting is good for a trip, I want to trip. I'm not motivated to maybe not have a worthwhile one.

I'm sure you'll dig it and ya it's important to be able to see the magic without droogz. You and Spliff have an awesome time y'all.

 

not to pressure you or anything, but i think 2ce is a great choice for a concert. especially if you have seats. but you know yourself better than i, and i'm sure that you'll have an awesome time regardless.


i'm back from the festival it was A LOT of fun. i ended up taking 2 microdots on friday night, instead of saturday afternoon/evening as planned. partly because i was too excited to wait, and partly because i thought the music line up was much better on friday. i fell in love with this local band called Rebel Fire. i dropped around 7:00, so during their 9-10 slot i was peaking

i think this trip gave me a better idea of the difference between one of these hits and two. i think i like 2 better, and that i'll give my brother 2 when we go camping (i might take 3 then).

i was getting quite strong visuals this time. i looked like there was a black net in front of me when it started getting dark. i couldn't trust my eyes when walking down to the music. we got there and this band Rebel Fire was playing. i knew i wanted to check 'em out from watching on youtube before, but i didn't know i was gonna like 'em so much. the lights were not that intense...but they were for me. the light sorta continued in a fractal, past where it would normally end. i recall purples and reds sort of growing out of the singer's head on the more intense notes. the light was eventually reaching the ceiling of the tent, forming sharp, distinct shapes. when the singer would move her arms around she was leaving the longest trails.

me and my lady were dancing around, enjoying the music. her rasta lyrics were getting kinda scary/dark/evil. i was really liking it:devil: and exclaimed so to my woman. the dark vibe eventually got a little much and we decided to leave the music.

but before we did...i had a moment.... i got pretty emotional and was brought to what i call "acid tears." this music was so beautiful, it was moving to me that this band was really spreading the message of peace and love and actually doing something to make the world a little bit better. it was touching that this music actually came from where i grew up...these were my roots. these people (however weird and dirty they might be) were my people. and most of all i was thinking about how much i love my fiance. how grateful i am to have her, and how sorry i am for not always treating her 100% right. my eyes began to well up, i thought she could see, so i said "babe, i'm really getting some acid tears right now" and burst into a full on cry, with tears flooding my face. it was not sad though. it was the most ultimate happiness. i remember thinking that this moment was worth ANYTHING. tickets to the fest were $50 a piece...prob $20 in gas and 50 or 60 for supplies. the two precious hits of LSD had cost me exactly $13.75...but this feeling and this moment were absolutely priceless.

on the way back to the campsite i saw the most beautiful sky ever, and this was "real" since she could see the purples and oranges too - although it was probably slightly enhanced for me. gorgeous view.

back at the campsite things got a little rough. my fiance and i started having a serious talk about our relationship, and it wasn't all positive, so i got a little low after than. it was really a bonding experience in a way, so i'm glad it happened. after that, i had a lot of difficulty with starting and maintaining a fire, starting the charcoal grill and cooking a little. she took over the cooking, and i ate most of a hamburger. that's the only downside of tripping at festivals or camping for me - i lose a lot of normal function so i can't do simple shit that kinda needs to get done

i still feel like this stuff lasts such a short amount of time for LSD, but even if it is possibly an analogue, it's awesome, so i guess i'm good with it. i could NOT sleep that night, but i laid down with my fiance pretty "early." i just laid there listening to the music and having some very complex closed eye visuals which i wish i could describe. VERY colorful patterns that swirled into each other getting smaller and smaller. also there were these pointy knob-like things that twisted and turned all in unison. i was being AMAZED by these CEVS and later on having some pretty amusing thoughts to where i was actually chuckling to myself. i think i got maybe an hour or two of sleep that night. even without tripping it would have been hard since they were shooting off fireworks the whole night, and the music stopped when the birds started chirping in the early morning hours. the next day i had the slightest of headaches, most of which could probably be attributed to lack of rest and extreme heat.

ended up getting a little drunk the next night, and of course smoking weed throughout both days of the fest. i had to find some there actually, and got a pretty good deal. mushrooms were being sold like crazy, but i didn't want any. i was also offered molly, hash, hash oil and various ganja treats. i took a few extra microdots in case anyone was looking....but the few people that i actually talked to about it thought that 12 or 15 bucks per hit was too much. i admit that it's kinda steep, but these hits are fucking good. and i'm not really trying to part with too many of them. so i ended up keeping them all, which is probably better.

my neighbor at the fest and his wife each dropped a hit of blotter that he bought at the fest. he offered one to me for free, but i declined since i had just tripped the night before and i wasn't feeling up to trip again. if i WAS i had also come prepared with a dose of 2cb, two different doses of 2ce, and three doses of DMT if i was really feeling adventurous. but i never tapped into any of that.
but he said he paid 15 a piece for those blotters and i looked at them and they were definitely cut too small. and neither of them seemed to be tripping very hard when i saw them later. so i think that those people who thought i was trying to rip them off missed a good deal.

next trip in two weekends with my bro. i'm gonna ask him what he thinks about trying mescaline, but if not, were are gonna be munching on microdots. i think he'll take 2 and i'll take 2 or maybe 3 this time. i don't see myself going much higher than 3 though. 2 is a full on trip, up there with my my strongest ones...but i remembering thinking that i've never been "so high...so EASY" before. tripping on LSD is just so flowing and effortless, and i always think about that on my higher doses. so 2 is great and i really don't need any more, but i'm curious about a true high dose experience. and know i recall my statement about losing a lot of normal function, so i guess it's not all easy and effortless.

these things hit super quick too. i swear i was feeling it ~20 minutes after i put them in my mouth. and the comeup is the tinest bit more rough than my other lower doses of L, but nothing compared to the roughness of 2ce comeup for example. but still, i get a tiny bit queasy and quite a bit of nervousness.

Oh my God Microdots!! My dad had some crazy stories about them. I've never known anyone that has tried them except for people in their 50s That's pretty awesome

 

i forgot to mention that i heard a couple people ask "what kind is it?" about LSD. i just thought that was a funny thing to say...."what kind is it?"?!


also, during my trip i was getting overwhelmed with the amount of hippies around almost everyone was smoking pot or cigs, nearly everyone was drinking. it was just like "let's see how absolutely fucked we can get" and SO dirty. i wasn't trying to judge, but i guess it was hard not to. i don't really fit into that scene, but i enjoy plunging myself in the middle of it once or twice a summer.

 

I guess that answers your question PS about what kind of cid it was... old peoples LSD.
