have you ever gotten a headache from kava?

 

Very interesting stuff Darkglobe! I prefer the 5/6 apb combo to MDA, naturally I'm curious if a 5/6 MAPB combo could provide something comparable to MDMA.


@shivaya: We discussed this before, I have gotten a headache from Kava once but the past several occassions I've not experienced a headache.

 

I've seen a bit of speculation about how 6-MAPB will feel, and looking at it chemically, I think it'd be right in assuming 6-MABP will be more along the lines of a MDA/MDMA hybrid (moreso than it already is).

Given that, and the fact 5-MABP is pretty damn close feeling to MDMA at times, I'd say that a 5/6-MABP combo may be quite indistinguishable from MDMA.

Downed 5g of kratom...now eating some fairly potent weed curry.

I think it will be an interesting night. This combo has proved quite powerful in the past.

I have been ready for a heavy experience. Haven't had anything more intense than just weed since August! Kratom + weed was a killer combo the first time I ever tried it, but now with tolerance and everything it may not be so intense. We will see. I can always eat more of either if the experience isn't where I want to be in, say, an hour.

Great way to ring in christmas, anyway. Sending good vibes to all you HF people too.

EDIT: One hour later and hardly where I wanted to be. In fact, barely feeling anything. Gonna eat another gram of kratom and a bunch more curry. Maybe I'll see y'all in another hour haha.

2nd EDIT: One hour and fifteen minutes since last edit (2:15 since initial consumption) this combo took me slowly to a very beautiful place. My mind feels active and dynamic, not at all stoned-out that I can tell. Everything in my bedroom looks new. Reminds me of Andrew Weil's idea of an "active placebo"--no particular effects being felt of the drugs themselves except a slight shift in awareness, but this makes all other sensations--bodily, visual, mental--brand new and take on new meaning. Very lovely.

is that just straight kratom leaf or an extract? I have never felt anything off 5g of kratom. even with no tolerance (as it was the first opiod I ever tried) i needed around 15g of leaf or some amount of 15x or something. Personally i eat an oz of kratom most times i dose, but maybe I'm just weird that way.

 

First time I tried Kratom was 6g and I felt it. It's Captain Kratom capsules, which as far as I know are fairly strong but not extracted or concentrated in any way.

5g was not quite so noticeable, especially as I now have permanent tolerance, but it still made me plenty nauseous. The nausea is so unpleasant...not sure if I could handle a dose much bigger than that.

But for me, kava lasts days.... hell, maybe it never totally went away...

The headache could be "relaxed away", but the intoxication couldn't. It would come in waves for days, a week.... meh, more?

I enjoyed it, but the duration worrked me. I've only done it twice.

 

Bump for a really great xmas eve with much fine ale, and Mom regaling us with tales of the good old days, hanging in manhattan with the likes of Jim Hall, Myles Davis, Gillespie... I'm feeling pretty fortunate to get to hang around another day.

kava lasts days? interesting. It's usually gone by morning for me.

 

5gs of kratom is a good dose for me.

one minute left...(actually it just turned midnight)
and i just got baked in my in-laws driveway (on the DL). i managed to smoke like 4 doobies while i was here for the holidays the last three nights.

just stickin to weed for awhile. tripped last month for a concert, but i'm gonna try to hold off for awhile. maybe take some 4aces for my next trip in the spring or something.
