i have read the koran and i have seen what message is spread there...and i do have a few freinds who are muslims. so i know enough . also. you can change things if you dont like the way things are going... vote.... and if that isnt enough organize more peeps in your neighborhood who have the same thoughts or feelings you have.then start a movement , big things can be done that way. its sad that you say you want to leave this great country because you dont believe in some of its policies..i just got off on a rant because i am tired of seeing " evil white man "in posts and signatures. i am white and know many white men, who are not evil , or shaping the way whites treat any other color...

i really agree with everything that brayingdonkey has said. i feel that anyone who has a deep belief in something, even though you don't agree with it, they should receive the same respect anyone else would get.

Ummm, maybe it has something to do with the fact that "the white man" has been in power through out history, taking land from Natives, making slaves out of Africans, putting Japanese born people in camps during the war, making money off the poor, etc. Most large capitalist corporations are owned and operated by "the white man" and most of the richest & most powerful people are....you guessed it, white! Its pretty easy to figure out where the whole white capitalist america idea originated.

personally, i had absolutely no part in it...

and had the roles been switched in the past, and blacks happened to have been more technologically advanced at the time, i can all but guarantee you that whites would have been enslaved...

i agree that in the past whites have been a major cause for many other races oppression...but like i said, that doesnt hold quite as true anymore...

this may be true for some, not all. affirmative action (i dunno how it changed from white rastas to affirmative action) effects those that don't fall into your categories negatively, and in the long run may create a system where whites need affirmative action, then it could turn into a whole viscious cycle. i think the times when affirmative action could have helped are over, and everything should be merit-based.

anyways, to those that continue to hate on white rastas in this thread: who the fuck are you people to hate on aynone's choice of religion or beliefs? you aren't rastas so why do you care?

 

slavery was not started by white america, or american capitalism, slavery has been an issue since time began. every race ,creed ,religion or whatever has been a slave at one point or another. just so happens , that blacks have been the most recent and most out spoken about the issue. there are still millions of salves in our world today, but i dont hear people bitching about the evil asian capitalist {and yes , china has addopted capitalism in alot of there industry} or any other sort of the so called evil capatlist around the world... who is more to blame in bob marleys case, the "evil white man" or the one who sold his likeness to the world..
