I figured it was a logical question. As waxing can go several different ways. :D

I disagree with a lot here.

    1. Not necessarily... depends on how heavily he applied it when he used it.
    2. I don't know about palm rolling and tip rubbing... for me, tip rubbing never stays in and palmrolling doesn't have any effect at all... but rootrubbing definitely works for tightening up roots.
    3. Why is all natural better? I never get why people think "natural" automatically equals good... something residue free with no added conditioners is what's best and same... you don't have to change your hair washing habits as far as frequency goes, unless you start having mildew problems from not letting your hair dry completely before getting it wet again... easily solved with a blowdryer.
    4. Backcombing won't fall out if you do it right. I started with backcombing and mine only tightened up... never fell out. To be exact... half-assed backcombing will fall out.
And yes... all methods CAN take years but they can also only take a few months. Shortest time I've seen dreads lock up fully is 3 months... via good backcombing and with no wax.
