You seem to be missing the point – No president could have possibly done any better given the deep hole we were in. We were fighting two wars, the mortgage and banking crisis, it’s remarkable the economy is in the relatively stable shape it currently occupies - all due in part to the great job he's done.

I'm white and where I grew up I was the minority, at least if you combined the non whites who hated white people because their parents taught them to. Do you know how many times I've heard 'now you're the ******' as I'm getting my face stomped by 5 black dudes, property and money stolen from me, guns put to my head, knives held at my neck, you name it. Imagine having a knife held to your neck, for simply being white in the wrong neighborhood, and one of your friends just had his neck cut by mexicans and died a year prior?

I'm so sick of hearing bullshit from blacks and other groups about centuries and that tired crap. I never did anything to those people. Guess what kok, I would put money on it that you've never been gang jumped and beaten up and robbed by a group of whites.

The only thing that got me through my adolescence alive was linking up with two groups, a group of older skateboarders and artists who were crazy and would fuck anyone up that messed with me, and they were also friends with a lot of the young bangers older brothers. And a group of borderline white supremacists that would also fuck people up. Almost like a white guy has to do in prison.

I'm not racist, although I was very racist back when I was going through that. I'm just glad where I live is free of all that race card violent bullshit brought on by classic minority groups and that I'm no longer the minority. And they speak English at drive throughs.

Regardless of where you stand on the political aisle....I don't think you get to claim, on one hand, that the gov't is bought by big business (a point I don't disagree with...esp. congress) and then, on the other hand, claim they are inept and can't handle anything. Both points can't be true at the same time the upper class in this country owns damn near everything.

 

I agree with this. I don't think governments are inept at all. Everything the government does to stick it up our ass is intentional. However, it's often passed off as being due to ineptitude, because then that excuse is used to say we need to allocate even more funding to government to correct the problem. Meanwhile, things continue to get worse. I think it was FDR who said: "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way." He was right (and he would know).

 

I feel like there are more reasonable things to hate someone for like what religion they practice or how much money they make.
