Um, affirmative action hasn't been around for a while.There is no preferential treatment. There was that case over at the University of Michigan, i believe it was. About the whole scholarship thing, if a black, mexican, asian or whoever comes from a bad background, does really well and decided to help out more people from that same background to get ahead, is that now a problem because he gave them a chance? Or will he be called a racist for doing so? But in the end about employment, it really doens't matter because if the head person does not want a particular race or even gender working in certain positions, they are not gonna work there, plain and simple. sometimes, they don't get the chance to prove that they can do the job. You can't really prove it. Shoot I know that. It took me a while to "prove" I could wash trucks just as well as the boys. I just find it weird that most of the people who say "Go back to your own country seem to forget that unless their full blooded native american, they came over here too. Most of the black people here in american, their ancestors came over here the same time.
Actually, African Americans have been in the U.S. before the waves of many Irish, German and other European groups who arrived in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Southerners imported Blacks to do slave labor, and if the presence of Blacks angers some people, I think it's just too bad.
Okay... it is true that people do need to learn English if they live in America since the basis here, but I know that telling them to give up their language is insane. Culture, language, you can't just kill it. I'm feel sad because my grandmother felt that way and never alowed herself, my grandfather, my father or my aunt to speak Italian. My father and aunt never learned it so that aspect of my family was taken away. Diversity is important. If you don't like it go somewhere else, somewhere where there is no diversity. I'm sure you'd be welcome with two groups of people in the States.

If I was a minority (and I've been accused, on just forums and crap of probably getting special treatment for being a woman, you know like employers have to hire women as well as minorities) I would be pissed as hell that these people thought I couldn't get in based on my merit...at my job the bosses let these few black girls basically not do much at all, but gets on the rest of us who aren't black if we slack at all, because I guess they figure the black people can't be expected to do well(???) I can't say for sure but it's quite obvious that's going on...that's just as racist as not hiring black people or whatever you know?

Yea i wonder why blacks are imprisoned more then whites, they do commit more crime. They put that on there own culture not whites. This is what gets people made defensive people who think the prison system is all out to get black people.
How do you find that black people commit more crimes? You don't hear about about everyone's crime. Most of the time, people aren't told about all the crimes or when they are mentioned, it's like major ones. People also assume that people think your a racist if you disagree with something they do. Most actually don't. I don't care. But when you say something along the lines of "Those people" when you claim to only not like one, sometimes I ask you what that person means. Sometimes people accuse me of being racist when I dont' alwasy feel like telling them stuff I don't think they woudl understand. There are just some things I cannot relate with them. But i will say what I hate the most. When it's plain out obvious that a person doesn't like you, won't hire you, or straight up judge you because of your race or gender and makes it clear, that people will still say "It's not that". People like to believe that racism and gender hating is gone, when it's not. As long as we keep these myths alive, it always will be.
I responded to this issue and got in trouble for it (called a "racist" and a "fascist.") I grew up with Blacks and Latinos. To the credit of the Blacks, they were often well-behaved. Often the "rednecks" misbehaved the most. The Latinos, however, tended to be more out of control and violent. Some were very violent, to a degree I never saw in thousands of Whites. But I also grew up outside of the ghetto. I saw the crimes on TV committed in the ghetto. I saw the atmosphere while playing ball in a ghetto school. I have a hard time believing that the media has faked everything. You have to face reality in order to solve community problems. I have also seen many stereotypical Blacks. Blacks with gold teeth and who don't speak proper English. You see this with Whites and Latinos but this is a distinct element among ghetto Blacks. You can't ignore it. I know liberals love to ignore these things tho. But it does no good for them either, because problems must be dealt with. Just look at the violent rap music many young Black kids listen to. Look at the stuff promoted in their subculture. Maybe the Drug War is a part of the problem, incarcerating innocent Blacks. But violent Black crime is too obvious on TV virtually every day to deny.
