i don't know how else to explain this. i am aware of the difference between a trial jury and a grand jury. i was on my county's grand jury about 4 or so years ago. we met twice a month for 4 months, and heard the evidence from a bunch of cases and decided if those cases would go to trial or not. there were not 23 of us. it was not a federal grand jury. there are grand juries at other levels too, which do not consist of 23 people.

maybe it is different in your state or area because of a low population in the area? I linked to the US justice.gov website. That is what they state, point is that due process and gathering a grand jury might be difficult right now. Can you see that happening? How to know if the people on a grand jury are even present?

your link was only talking about federal grand juries, which would handle federal crimes. mine was for local crimes, handled at the county level. i found the ohio link: Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association

so i was wrong, there were actually only 9 of us, not 12. 15 if you count alternates, but if i recall correctly only the first 3 alternates were even expected to show up, and they were definitely sent home as soon as they got there as long as the first 9 were present and able to stay through the day.

it will definitely be harder to gather a grand jury now, but everything is harder now. i still don't see why some sort of remote option is not possible. the courthouse is probably pretty empty; i bet they could find 9 empty rooms to stick people in on a computer if they really want them to be present in the building. if we're talking federal, we would need 23 rooms, but i would also think that a federal courthouse would be larger and more fit to handle that many people.

  4. Regardless of jurisdiction or process, the timeline is outrageous, this happened in February. It's another thing Georgia is famous for, legal delay tactics. There's a state politician named Ralston (fat cat republican lawyer) in the north of the state who delays child molester cases until the victims are adults. He and his cronies were behind Abrams failed bid for governor, not Kemp.

When delay tactics are used, I smell a rat. So I have little doubt these two are guilty as fuck, were probably driving drunk as well. And their buddies in blue circled the wagons for them. I'm speculating of course, but it doesn't take weeks or months to bring these kinds of charges, it takes hours. There's something wrong with this case, and letting it get hijacked into yet another race campaign will fuck it up even more.

And I don't doubt it looks like a couple of highly connected racists killed a man for the hell of it. If it's proven so, hook them up to the generator. And hunt down their enablers. This one event once again has the entire country under the racism microscope. I'll never deny the problem exists, only that it doesn't have a single owner. And the worst of it exists in pockets like Brunswick Georgia, Dothan Alabama and Gainesville Florida. But none of those sewers is an example of the rest of America.

But again, this is a murder case and race is a distraction from that effort. The man who was killed was a man no matter his color, so the cover up is as outrageous as it should be. So having a respected celebrity suggest this "hunted" bullshit is him stirring up a pot that he won't have to sit in when it boils over. It's irresponsible and needlessly divisive. I figure he's frustrated, but he should be aware of what his words can do.

    murder is federal.
This is interesting. Georgia doesn’t have different degrees of murders. Murder is murder.

Murder & Manslaughter Laws in Georgia
Unlike many states, Georgia doesn’t divide murder into “first degree” or “second degree.” A murder occurs when one person kills another person with the conscious intent to take their life. An example of murder is when someone deliberately drives through a crowded crosswalk. Murder also applies when a person is killed during the commission of an inherently dangerous felony, even if the killing was accidental. The minimum sentence for murder in Georgia is life in prison, and the death penalty is possible if circumstances are severe enough.

so, basically these guys could be looking at life as a minimum.

depending on what the grand jury decides, it will be a determination to be made, I suppose?

    here murder charges are federal.

I was called for jury duty on a federal murder trail. I was not selected ultimately. But you know if it is federal by the court you are sent to. This last time was different as well.

the Pool I was in, was I think about 400 people, and they only wanted 12 and two alternates. Nothing else was going on in the court in federal Toronto. We were all called for this one trial selection only. No other jury pools were present. I had to look at the defendant, the prosecution selected me and the defence turned me town. I was nervous and smiled. :)

Previously when I was called I was in a jury pool room and went up for selection for approximately 7 different trials. This we were all there for this one and you had to remain separated from all other potential jurors in this same trial. But the court was empty that entire week. It was really a high profile case too.

fait accompli? No, I don’t think so. Accomplished fact? That doesn’t mean he has been found guilty in a court and doesn’t mean the accused is not entitled to due process. Doesn’t mean you know all the facts either. I am just considering any video released, that could have been edited, could have been fabricated. Do you believe everything you see and read. They seem guilty to me, based on that video. also releasing this video and it going viral can taint the jury, so are they, the defendants going to be able to find a jury that isn’t biased?

  10. There's a line between evidence and proof that's usually defined in court. So often DNA is seen as "proof" but it's just evidence or people would be getting framed for bank robbery with a single hair. But what I see here looks pretty damning.

looks damning to me too, but doesn’t mean we just lock him up and throw away the key either without due process. There is a conflict as well in this one since the defendant is known. I think feds have to step in without any personal knowledge of the two.

You shouldn't lock up anybody and throw away the key anyway. If someone has done something that bad and judged to be unfit for society forever, fucken hang the cunts.

how much time have you spent in the USA? The black community in the USA most certainly doesn’t need a guy from the UK, Who supports Russian while pointing fingers at their country telling them they are racist. Black people are American too. Have you gone into black communities in the USA? How about in your own country? Have you spent much time in Hammersmith and Fulham?? Are you racist? Seems you are by your way of thinking. You have a real hate for American culture. Are you angry that they split from Britain? Angry That they all aren’t hopping on board with your hatred and way of thinking?

the justice system has done what exactly to the black community, many times over And when? You want for white people to not be entitled to a fair trial today? No due process for white people? What exactly are trying to justify here in today’s society?

no not at all. Lol. Don’t try to flatter yourself and chalk it up to a win for you. You failed to answer any questions I asked you. Just asking you questions doesn’t mean you hit any spot. Just pointing out the obvious. Your answer to all those questions are “ no I have not spent any time in Hammersmith, Fulham, or black communities in the USA. Nor have I been to the USA. I just try to make others fall in line through bs means, and try to spread the hatred”

It does get a little old when everyone acts like an expert. Just saying.

Hammersmith and Fulham are not necessarily the centre of the Black community in London - try Brixton or Hoxton, both of which I worked in many years ago. I have no interest in visiting the US, nor would I be allowed in in any event, having been an active member of the Communist Party.

I also note that you have apparently studiously avoided my question about the American judicial system.

  19. It's a good thing we don't settle court cases with this kind of cherry picking.

and in answer to your question. Do you think the healthcare worker was shot because he was black? The policeman who shot him was hispanic. And here is the results! (By the way the police were responding to a suicidal call of a man with a gun And the cop was not aiming at the man on the ground either). Didn’t avoid your question, just getting the answer. And every system around the world gets it wrong some times, it isn’t reserved for America. Sometimes they get it right. Ultimately it comes down to the jury and the evidence presented, not just based on a video and the scenario presented in the media, like you did with that video. I can see how the toy truck was mistaken for a gun too. Three shots fired, one hit th3 worker in the leg. The cop had bad aim, thankfully!
