Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse, and U2

eh, I'm a radiohead fan. I'll admit sometimes they are boring.... but other times they are perfect to listen to.

 

I think Muse kind of rocks



I don't even usually like alternarock, but many of their songs I like

Radiohead has some good stuff too, mostly older

Radiohead's The Bends rocked then and still rocks now.

Also, listening to OK Computer on the day it was released with a big bag of weed was wonderful.

Most of the rest of their stuff is utter crap though.

I agree. I mean no offense to anyone that actually likes those types of bands, but to me its just the most shitty bland boring music imaginable.

I like a lot of Radiohead songs, but it's mostly mediocre and steeped in hyperbole. they aren't as innovative as they're sometimes given credit for.
Coldplay are just lame, sentimental and obvious. good music for people who don't know better. plus, the way Chris Martin acted in that recent BBC interview proves he has crazy problems.
Muse are sometimes watered down Radiohead, and sometimes stupid britpop/eurotrash dishwater etc.
I'm sure I've heard a lot of U2, but I can only think of 2 songs. nevertheless they are a band I will never even attempt to listen to, like Bruce Springsteen or Fleetwood Mack.

Muse is all right.

And while U2 making a good album at first seemed like quite a ridiculous concept.. check out "Pop". It's nothing like the Vertigo-style new U2 shit. Trust me.

Coldplay has one good song.

I don't think I've ever heard anything by Radiohead.

 

I like a few Coldplay songs. The ones they released as singles, but only the ones that are piano heavy. But the rest of those bands can kiss my ass and Coldplay can now that I hate everything I've heard from them recently. Bono is one of the most obnoxious and disgusting excuses for a human being and I think that I should be entitled to smack him in the head once with every damn award he's ever won because he sucks ass and doesn't deserve them. I'll give his damn trophies to Darfur and let them sell them at a pawn shop.

 

If Bono really was Jesus, he'd give away all his money to the poor African children.

 

Yeah, he's such a fucking twat. Telling US what to do with our money when we're all struggling to make ends meet, but he's got more money than God and still lives in luxury, while only helping out a little bit. Most of his damn contributions have been telling everyone that they should send money to these people. Fuck him.

I really like Radiohead, U2, and Coldplay.

Who else is going to speak out publicly to 13 year olds about AIDS, Fair Trade and the War Child charity?

 

Is that the same Gore with millions of dollars invested in Occidental petroleum?

Out of all 4 of those bands, I'd say that I listen to Radiohead by far the most.

I listen to them at work; the old albums, the solo albums, and the new stuff.

It's really great music to listen to when you're pushing papers or photocopying. The droning and erudite sounds of a voice over a piano melody with electric guitars is perfect for wave after wave of mediocre motivation. The chimes and whistles that buzz in your ear like a myriad of plucking sounds all at once is perfect white noise for an office environment.

 

the same, his electricity usage has also GONE UP 10% over that obscene amount he was already using.

personally, if i hear one more filthy rich person who preaches and preaches then doesn't DO what they're preaching, well, i'm not going to do anything except ignore them like i always have.

btw, it's not teacher's job to talk about those things. they're supposed to be educating kids on the basics, not politics. DON'T GIVE THEM YET ANOTHER JOB.
