A cup of good. strong coffee is mother's milk, a buzz saw through the brain, but it's hard to find at rainbow. I've tasted saliva with more kick than most of the brown water passed off as coffee. In moments of complete caffeine deprivation, it's time for Water Joe or Aqua Java. Take a few big swigs from the bottle, then stuff a knee-high stocking inside, leaving a couple of inches sticking out the top. Pour about one-third of a cup of ground coffee into the stocking and let it trickle into the bottle. Screw the bottle cap on tight so it holds the top of the stocking in place. Turn the bottle on it's side, then leave it in the sun. In about 30 minutes you'll have a bottle of depth-charge brew. (The longer you let it steep, the stronger the brew.) http://members.tripod.com/~lotsofinfo

Peel, Core and Dice Apples.. in skillett melt Butter and add Apples and sprinkle on Cinnamon/brown sugar, suate untill soft.. mix all dry ingriedence add water and mix into a soft dough.. pinch off a piece of dough and roll it out or form a ball in hand and press into a flat round and add the apples and fold dough over and press to close.. fry in oil or butter on both sides untill browned and crisp or deep fry till fritter floats.. Use any fruit you have on hand. even canned fruit will work.. You can also Bake the fritters in a Dutch Oven.. If you Bake you can sprinkle Cinn/Brn Sugar on top before baking.. frying will burn the sugar/cinn and change the taste.. but would be ok to dredge it in sugar/cinn after frying..
um, hate to be a buzz kill here but in the great debate about cowboy coffee making, I'm firmly on the side of boil the water first, take it off the heat and then add the coffee grounds. Putting coffee grounds in before putting it on the heat risks 1/ boiling the coffee (making a huge difference in diuretic qualities, i.e. instashits) and 2/ not sanitizing the water. Even if you use filtered water for coffee safe food handling would be ideal to boil the water. Lovin' you for serious and all that, but you'd be in a brawl forcing me to drink coffee brewed the way you speak, if I knew about it anyway. and I just read someone giving tips on brewing coffee with a nylon... I'm also firmly on the side of cook communally, so to share the love, ensure food is right not just for you but for all, and leave the small trash at home. Hopefully you'd pack out that used nylon, and where would you wash the sludge out of the bottom of your cup? I guess you could just rinse it out with drinking water you haul in for yourself and not burden a kitchen with your washing needs without sharing your labor for the coffee needs of all (well, not all, but it is 'hippie crack' so most rainbows drink it.) However, this is another great debate I could save for another time. Hope I do not offend I'm just an opinionated broad in high holy training
I have never had that problem. Now, finding a cup of coffee that hasn't been boiled to death, steeped until water just off the boil gets cold, or left to sit on the grounds till it has a pH near battery acid (pour it off the grounds after they've settled) is another story...
Expresso eh? Anything like Mudd? As in did it taste like ass and wire you out, or did it have decent flavor and wire you out?
You may discover blue pancakes, cinnamon rolls hefty enough to fill a EE-cup and prairie oysters at main gate. If you hike through without sampling local cuisine, you're missing out and the people are so much more interesting. www.recipesource.com

A cannabis-laden dish is the perfect centerpiece of an evening dinner party from which no one has to rush off afterward! Hashish or hash oil can be used for a potent cannabutter. It is heated and stirred until the hash or oil dissolves in the butter. Tinctures tend to taste bitter so a reasonably sweet drink with a high percentage of alcohol is recommended, such as a fruit schnapps.
The trichomes are the fronds on the tips of the plant that are the holy grail of hash cooking. They are found on the tips of the sweetest buds. Quality buds are the best part of the plant to cook with as they contain the highest levels of THC. The trick is to experiment and play around with cooking times and temperatures, but it's always best to cook for longer on medium heat than to blast the food and to cook it too quickly. Nice and easy does it! Generally speaking, when sampling cannabis cookery it is safer to err on the side of caution. Less can be more. WARNING...... Note that excessive oral consumption of cannabis in any form, be it food or tinctures, can have nasty shortterm psychological side effects, such as panic attacks, and may spark dormant longer-term issues such as paranoid schizophrenia. Almost every recipe here uses either cannabutter or cannabis ghee as the means of integrating active THC into quality food.
Offer the chutney with Indian-style vegetarian dishes featuring potatoes and spinach, eggplant, cauliflower, lentils. 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar, 1/4 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 garlic clove, minced, 1 tablespoon julienned fresh ginger, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon grated orange rind, 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes, salt, 2 firm-ripe mangoes, 1/2 cup dark raisins, 1/2 cup slivered blanched almonds. 1. In a medium saucepan, stir together the vinegar, water, sugar, garlic, ginger, mustard seeds, orange rind, pepper flakes, and a pinch or two of salt. Bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the sugar, and continue simmering uncovered over medium-low heat for about 15 minutes, until syrupy. 2. Meanwhile, peel the mangoes and cut the flesh from the pits. Slice the flesh about 1/4 inch thick and cut each slice in half lengthwise and then crosswise to make short strips. Add the pieces of mango to the hot syrup and simmer uncovered over low heat for 15 minutes. 3. Stir the raisins and almonds into the mango mixture and continue to simmer uncovered over low heat for 5 more minutes until the fruit and nuts are coated in a thick syrup. Add a little more salt if needed and let the chutney cool. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.

Food colouring can be fun: try a couple of drops once the batter hits the pan, and then swirl them around with a stick to create a marbling effect. What other food can nestle berries, chocolate chips in a smiley face, cooked in a Mickey Mouse mould or poured in the form of the letter B? Pour the batter first and then drop the berries or chocolate chips or whatever on top. Then gently submerge them into the molten batter with the tip of a knife so they are completely covered.
