I don't care what the name might be. You just have to nail the music. I'm sure we probably won't go with The Beatoffs. I think it would be great except for .....the places that will probably pay you a decent amount to play that music probably are kind of family friendly. They won't be happy to book The Beatoffs. But it's a great spin on the name. :)

I have to take the almost 13 year old for her physical tomorrow. I should go to bed soon. I hope they don't make us wait forever with all those little sick children in the waiting room. It was rescheduled to tomorrow from Friday...I have a feeling that they are cramming a bunch of appointments into Wed. and Thurs. Joy. I can hardly wait.

Why is it always 90+ degrees when I have to swap tires?

Anyways, swapped out front tires on both Cubs yesterday, dismount/remount X 4 and then cleaned and treated all 4 tires on the new tractor with 303... This morning I need to slime them and level the deck before mowing. First day the GT2544 gets put into real work mode. We'll see how it goes.

I'll have to come up with some new mowing patterns as the GT2544 is a lot taller than the old MTD. (which sort'a still runs) Getting around some of my low branch trees is not gonna happen with the new tractor. Did I mention it's A LOT Taller? As I continue to modify the 2166 Cub, part of the plan now is lowering the seat height for this reason and to make it better on hillsides... New seat and mount, cutting the seat pan and filling that space with stainless... It's gonna be wider than stock too, new back tires and wheels from the GT2544 made it at least 4 inches wider rear trac, maybe just over 4 inches. I was going to swap rims until I noticed how the Cub rims fit. Eventually the MTD needs to get phased out and both Cubs will be handling all the mowing duties. The 2166 is quite a ways from being put into service though, even though it now has good tires.

Anyways... Wish I had some doobs to go with this coffee.

Tires are done... Gotta go drive around for awhile to get the Slime evenly coated. 16oz in each back tire and 8oz in the fronts. Should add another 8oz each to those back tires... damn things are huge. [IMG] I'd run them on a car if they were speed rated.

    Mower test time after that....

Brownie Brownie is laying on the coffee table, across from my knees with his head laying poked just around this laptop...staring.

    He wants to sit here.

I need to eat a bite and go outside.

Dang I feel lazier than this big fat pig laying in the mud and sun that I saw at the goat farm.

Rolling, here is Jimmy Kimmel talking about it. Asmo's photo was of another lion he killed...my mistake there, but still that made me cry, too...Jimmy is nice compared to how I feel about it.....and then I just read only 4 white rhinos left on this earth......and they are protected with armed guards now from poachers....., The photo Asmo posted is in this video of another lion he killed.... I spoke my feelings already, and I own them.

and link about rhinos....:( Will some men be happy when only he has breed himself silly where there is no other life on this earth besides him?

there is many ways people are cruel to animals....you shouldn't take each and every one so personal....the human psyche cant handle that

I worked a spotlight on this show in the eighties...same circus had the skating bears playing hockey

Ok, another good day for Buddy. Went down to the park and had a walk while there were other dogs around and he stayed relatively calm.
Then I saw Morgan walking around. Morgan is a sweet old pitbull who takes walks every morning and the wife and I have talked to her owner numerous times, but this is the first time Buddy and Morgan were at the park at the same time.
So when they got close I took Buddy over to the car in case I had to put him in.
Morgan and her human stopped and looked at us, and Buddy returned the gaze and sat down. Then Morgan came and sat at a bench about 25 feet away and Buddy stayed cool.
Within a couple of minutes Morgan's presence was a non-issue and Buddy was completely relaxed and checking out birds and stuff.

We were pretty surprised, so I moved closer and sat down about 20 feet away, Buddy and Morgan kept an eye on one another, but stayed calm. Then the wife went and petted Morgan. Buddy took notice, but with my reassurance he calmed back down. The wife kept going between Morgan and Buddy so they could get each others scent and then I moved even closer and sat within about 12 feet of Morgan, Buddy being completely calm the whole time.
Then my wife stopped petting Morgan and Morgan reached a paw up and swiped at her as if to say "don't stop" and I guess Buddy saw that as an aggressive move.
He stood bolt upright, started hufffing and puffing like he does, the fur on his back went straight up and he started shaking like mad. I knew he was about to blow!

Thankfully he has finally gotten to responding to the command that means "stop whatever the fuck you are doing immediately!" and that was all that was needed from me to snap him out of it.

But DAMN, that is the closest and longest he has ever been around another dog without going into apeshit "I gotta kill it!" mode.

We speculate that it could be because Morgan is an older female pitbull.

Your quote, Rolling, and I understand what you are saying to me, but I cannot help it....I have always been that way. As a little girl, I screamed and cried until my grandfather threw the fish he caught back into the water. That is who I am...and have always been....and will always be until the day I die.

The consensus about what exactly is cruel to (wild) animals changes over time. Circus acts are a great example if you compare what the average person thought of it in the 80's and how many think it is abominable now.

yeah, and I don't know if a congratulations are in order or a shut up already! :D

i liked being at 10, 000...It looked clean, crisp and clear and felt good...and i tried like hell to stay that way.....but my passion got the best of me earlier here when it became 10,001.....I will break all of that, though to voice for animals always and not think twice about it...Now, I am not quite sure where I am anymore.... :)

So here's something I overheard that makes me happy on a couple of different levels.....

Our daughter (and only non-adult kid left) is getting to the age where she's starting to over-react to things, cop an attitude about nothing, etc. It's just her age...we know that. She isn't too bad but it will probably get worse before it gets better.

She was irritated about something the other day (I don't know what) and I heard my son talking to her. He told her "I'm going to give you a little advice, even if you don't want it. When I was 14, I did all kinds of things I shouldn't have been doing. I was pissed at dad half of the time because of situations that I created all on my own. I thought he was a jerk. Now I'm 20 and I and all of my friends think he's the coolest dad in the world and some of them wish he was their dad. Ask yourself this......which one of us changed since I was 14? Maybe that's something you should remember."

Bam!! The boy! Layin' down the wisdom!

So that was kind of nice. :)
