Our picture window has been cracked almost all the way across for close to a couple of months.

I've been concerned about it being replaced for a minute or 2! Well. last week The Mother decided she had a bug up her ass about getting the Barely Flaking woodwork (on this brick house) repainted.

I begged, talked (LOUD IN HOPES SHE'D HEAR) and wrote that isn't having the window replaced more important that having this little dab of woodwork that is barely even flaking repainted?!? :dizzy2:

I may as well have pissed in the wind.

The window is still in and cracked and the men are prepping the outside to paint. The one she hired keeps coming and knocking on the door for something, to tell her something...KNOWING SHE CAN'T HEAR, so I'm the one to talk to. deargotamighty

They are also assing around...probably to justify charging $1650.

lol I agree...if I wasn't scared to climb up to the tippy top of a tall ladder I'd be out there doing it myself.

He's made sure we already walked out there and looked at the front - just after pressure washing what he'll be painting...and I promise it looks good enough for him NOT TO NEED TO PAINT.

but whatevs, as Irmi would say.

I did tell him I, personally, was MUCH MORE CONCERNED about getting this picture window replaced - which is older than me ftr - than I was about getting this woodwork painted.

He said he hated the window was cracked too.

    yeah, whatevs

i'd hate to have to rely on chopping down little trees to keep warm, but i'd love to have wind, solar and biomass.

the grid could still be there, but i'd love to see nature allowed to reclaim paved roads.

people should be allowed to share their lives at their own risk, with whatever wild creatures choose to companion them, but not to buy and sell living beings as property.

    o.0

If that was directed at my previous post...

    1. A tree 21 inches across at the base isn't "little"

    2. It was a DEAD Ash tree... You want to point fingers. point them at the asshole that brought the Emerald Ash Borer into this country.

wasn't intending criticism of anyone or anything. it was the picture of the dog keeping cool that inspired my thoughts.
no wish to point fingers or anything of the sort. i don't know why people make this assumption i'm being critical of them.
my thoughts are in terms of thoughts, concepts and perspectives.
just my own lazy ass being glad i don't have to chop wood,
but still wishing it didn't take having to have a car to not have to live in a damd city.
