I wish I was better at planning..Im getting tired of driving to the lumber yard and my room rack is really not that good for carrying 2x8s 12 feet long at highway speeds

 

here they deliver lumber, only 25 dollars more.. believe me , its better . if your getting some wood, toss in a widow and door they bring em. all included..

 

Remind me to never let myself be sent to prison...compared to what you're describing, I guess my current psychic prison ain't so bad.

In the days when I was doing woodworking projects, I was pretty anal about planning. I always drew my construction plans with the measurements, and then figured out exactly how many pieces of each type of lumber I would need to buy. Of course sometimes I screwed up a measurement or a cut, and then I had to make another trip to buy more...

 

yep..I cut one stringer 1/4' too short but if I move it to the edge it will fit because the board will bend a bit better lol..at least Im using a good saw and a real hammer...most mechanics would be using an axe and a ball peen nail bender

yep

 

some inmate have it well, but they are still in jail and can lose privileges easy. I was a shop supervisor and had a crew of 7 to 10 inmates all level 2, they can move freely about the jail and can handle power tools, cutting instruments, weapons if they made them that way.. But even extreme sections of some jails, nobody was thinking of stealing a hammer or nothing.. the entire section would be locked in til hammer comes back..

I know but it was worth mentioning.. :sultan:

 

i measure first..get the dude at home hardware to cut it ...just made a screen door fit the side of my house where the old one was messed

I just picked up a few 2x8s and some pl adhesive and then happened to notice they are dropping the chestnut panelling from reorder ...so now I have to go back tomorrow and spend more money so I dont get stuck not being able to finish the last job I never finished (re-panelling my trailer)

 

told you hun.... you can have one of mine... infact i'd go as far as to say, i'd share my last green ball with you if we ever found ourselves in that kind of scenario

Sometimes I think it'd be cool to go outside and start walking, like Forest Gump. Just walk as far and as long as I felt like it.

 

I do that all the time


I usually make it around the corner to the mailbox before I decide to start trekking back home

 

i've had that thought before too...

 

Tell you what, you start walking in my direction and I'll start walking in your direction. We'll meet somewhere inbetween.
