The first three digits are based on the state where the SSN was originally assigned, and the next two are what's termed a group number. The last four digits are ostensibly assigned at random. Since the late 1980s, the government has promoted an initiative termed "Enumeration at Birth" that seeks to ensure that SSNs are assigned shortly after birth, which should limit the circumstances under which individuals apply for them later in life (and hence, make fraudulent applications easier to detect).

Found this searching "social security number first three digits." Apparently it changed somewhat since 1973. My family was born previous to that.

edit: zip codes started in 1963, my immediate family was born previous to 1960 so I am not sure what ours were based on. Also it is based on when it was requested. I had one in grade school because I needed one to start a savings account. Seems today they might be given out closer to birth.

 

I have to clean the spot where the old frig sat because the new frig is coming today! I should have done it last night but I didn't. :dizzy2:

Since it's raining this morning, I went to the Goodwill store and actually found a pair of work jeans in my size. They never have them. They look new....$5. Sweet deal!

 

I lived off donations after 2 fires in my time....I no longer buy used clothing out of spite.....I accept it from family members though

almost passed out a few times but got todays jobs done....


i never would have believed that resting helps relieve back (degenerative discs) pain but lately i notice its true...its better to just keep going on but being careful...resting just helps short term

 

Resting makes mine worse...



Got stung in the hand by a wasp today... No biggie, just wondering what it was doing on the ground. Front patio is taking 20 times longer than it should, but then again, just about any task does these days.

 

resting helps me....I lie down almost every day for half hour and rejuvenate

 

Sun helped mine today and I got a little sunburned out there for 2 hours.

Keep running into my new friend out there, and made another new friend out there today, who i even like better....first new friend goes with me, for quite a ways now....but she jogs so close to me, I am almost knocked off the path the whole time....

 

I mean how do you tell someone....can you please move over and give some room here? I am too nice for that, usually.

Yeah, will have to. I like her....and all, but have not felt that comfortable yet to say hey, move it over.....

I really like the friend I met today.....sweeeeeeet! I am excited.
