geeze i went out today and it was too warm for pants so i switched to shorts and now it got frigging cold again i need to switch to pants

 

My son just brought over a big aluminum pan full of chicken marinating and put it in my brand new, mostly empty fridge. He's cooking for me, his wife, and his sister tomorrow.

 

i guess he doesnt know youre not supposed to marinate things in aluminum containers

the tree buds are finally popping today...things are starting to look green ..i like it when this happens because the back fence has tons of chokecherry trees and makes a privacy wall barrier so i dont have look at the house behind

cant stand seeing them all winter...i like it a wall of trees there instead

Got tuneup, oil change, and transmission filter stuff for the Cub Cadet today... Haven't started on it yet other than to pull the mower deck and set that up on saw horses. One of the spindles is harder to turn but no slop, should be repairable. That's the side the noise was coming from. All the other deck pulleys and idler seem fine, deck belt is newish, PTO belt is new.

Still looking for Wheels and tires... May have a line on a set of back wheel/tire combo, but they are "loaded" with something.... Hopefully not calcium. I would need to drain whatever is in there, as I don't want loaded tires on this machine... If it's not calcium I could use the fluid in the John Deere. If it is??? Still need front wheels, have a new set of tires for those. Then I'll need a gallon of "Slime".

Not surprising, the guy at the Cub Cadet place said that I know more about this than he did... This wasn't the younger parts guy though, he's a jackoff.

 

Long night tonight. Played a private party by ourselves. I'm pretty worn out but we had a nice time. It was a good show to try out some newer stuff. We finally got to play Eyes Of The World by the Grateful Dead. I was pretty excited about that. I have the rhythm parts down but I really have to work on the jam a little more. I was fairly happy with what I did with the sax on the synth but I think I need to be much better with my improvising on that song.

spitting here....dog is out enjoying it.....I was hoping for a dramatic thunder storm.....I left the cowl off my lawn tractor...i'm debating if I should go cover it?....it was too hot to tarp last nite when I finished at buddies

 

That Ranch King was destroyed by letting it just sit out, and this Cub Cadet almost met the same fate... I need to roof the other two stalls on the "tractor garage"... It used to be some kind of animal enclosure and there are two sections that look like they may have been open air horse stalls... Not sure why. Nobody had horses here.

The feeling is mutual....

where does one even find an aluminium pan?...they don't make kitchenware out of aluminium
