Hardly got any rain here either... I watched that storm go by. Heard it too, but it didn't hit here.

Just got done planting a Red Cutleaf Japanese Maple out front.... Part of that patio deal. Gonna run out of mulch though.

Working on that instead of moving stuff around inside the house like I was supposed to.

I get some relief from Hubby's oxy and gabapentin.

I've got a load of kitty towels to wash and a gillion things to pick up.

I love those trees! Beautiful. What was the recommended sun exposure? If my memory serves me correctly, I think it should be at least partial shade and definitely not direct sun light all day long.

Coincidently, I am off to pick up a Cypress tree as soon as I finish this cup of coffee.

Buyer beware. Sometimes those $10 burlap specials are so cheap because they are the wrong graft and will likely never grow correctly. I bought two of them a number of years ago. I just removed one a few weeks ago because I couldn't correct it...no matter what I did. The other one is a little better so I'm giving it a little more time. But sometimes they're ok.

Im thinking about actually making a tree line of Locuts Robinia pseudoacacia, only because thats most the trees here, they seem to grow quick and take easy. we'll see .. Im in no hurry.

Morning sun, partial shade tree... Does not like afternoon sun and heat. If it doesn't get enough sun it doesn't go full red. They are very picky.

The spot I planted it was where it did best last year in a pot... I tried a few locations.

Potted up a few varieties of Oak today for transplanting later... Gotta dig up some maples and do the same thing soon-ish. Not today though.
