I cabt turn people down when they need help or need me to do a job.....i'm swamped today....just went and helped island plumber do a pump job....I handed him tools...

 

funny....did you have moonglow last night. I am not sure if i saw the moon last night or not....

Jill copied my email wrongly....lol...always happens.....so she met up with me the next day for it correctly.....and we have been emailing and I see her every day now out there. She works at IBM, so she stops here on her way home every early night....and takes photos of sunsets and things....I do that, too....I never am out there to meet people, but lately, i don't know what it is...they are sticking to me like flies.....
I miss Sabrina now...have not seen here for a good many days....
I need to email hound her now....lol
Then there was another girl trying to tag along with me yesterday, and I liked her, too, but was in a real hurry so never even asked her name....Must be something in the air these days....
I have quite a few female friends out there now...would be a fun girl's night out, if I can get them all together sometimes....Sabrina, Jill, Lisa, Joanne, Wendy and me....what a wonderful sisterhood of all ages, and they all need to meet each other...although Jill and Sabrina have already met.

I need to adopt another boy, though...My Jessie is moving, and I am heartbroken. I love him...he tried to find a house around here to buy but said it was too expensive so he is moving about 45 minutes away....he was renting before.....Tomorrow is is his last day here.....and i am in tears over it...he said he will be back to visit...i hope so. He says all of his friends are here.

Must meet my Texas friends in a few hours, too...

Neighbor kid here, Josh, seems to want me to adopt him, now that his wife is gone....he is always outside with the baby when i go by and waves like crazy ......but he needs to adopt me...he is very nice....looks like a young Abe Lincoln with his height.....not usually the type I adopt....LOL

 

I have a funny reply but there is no way to make it sound less mean....but goddamned it was funny

 

I'm getting out to the grandsons baseball game tonight. I've missed too many games with hubby's toe surgery.

I was going to go, but the gf wouldnt take off work cause idiot >me forgot to tell her.

 

Took the day off because of the rain and got a bunch of other stuff done. Then I hit the woodshop with the girl. Once again, she was pretty much out there all evening. We had a bunch of reclaimed framing and flooring from the house to get ready to use....pulled a few hundred nails, tacks, staples, etc. She was down for all of it. She had her own tools. We got every piece of wood done and ready to use later. We will be doing a lot of planing on Saturday.

While this was starting out, I was listening to my NPR online music. She said "Hang on...I'll be right back". She went and got her speaker and ipod, closed my computer and turned on the Grateful Dead channel. Is she my girl or what? And she doesn't like the Dead just because I do. I once asked her if she was a deadhead. She said "I've been listening to them for my enitire life, I'm named after a Dead song, I know the music."

She started a new project tonight. I think her measurements are going to be off and she cut corners on sanding but I'm not going to correct her. I told her what to do a couple of times. She did some of it the way I said and some of it how she thought it should be done. I'm going to let her see the results and then figure out what went wrong. Experience is the best teacher.

Here she is in action! She'll get it figured out.

I do too. I think it makes me happier than any other thing I have going on in my life. She looks small (and she is) but she's getting to the age where I really need to have some solid things to connect with her. We are both musicians, we both love fishing, camping and kayaking. But this was kind of an unexpected thing in my mind. I really appreciate it. It's like...I've been wanting to do this for myself for so many years and as soon as I get to do it....I'm kind of doing it for her and that's pretty cool. Maybe it won't last forever but it's fun for now. I want to do little things with her that she won't forget later.

I had a wonderful time with my friends from texas. I love them very much........We ate supper at the Beekman Inn in Rhinebeck......I did not know that it is the oldest Inn in the entire USA.....My friends were lucky and got a room there for the night.....they were on a waiting list for it for over a month and were going to stay across the street but a room opened up for them today...last minute. I was thrilled for them. They love the Beekman....I got to see their room. It was big and wonderful with its own real fireplace. i think most of the rooms have their own fireplaces in them.....I was so surprised. I kept wondering, I wonder if this Inn is haunted.....LOL

all joking aside The Beekman Arms Inn is very historical and every room there is so flavorful and filled with antiques and wonderful things......This Inn has much to say.....and I listened.....
