yeah...things got out of hand yesterday...for many reasons......i was in a bad mood all day to begin with...i should know by now to stay off the computer when I am like that....some things i need to learn still.....myself.....
i don't dislike you....i always trusted your willingness to say it as how you see it and not play games.....and to have a fair fight.....I can usually handle it much better....now, i am just trying to recover as i process what exactly happened......and my life and what I am doing and so mnay things.

Got a few logs milled. Not as much as I was hoping for but it was still fun. My buddy got all the wood for his picnic table. I convinced him that the benches and table top would look cool with the natural curve of the wood for the edges (similar to the Cedar board I posted the other day). We cut the benches 2 inches thick and the table top boards 1 1/2 inches. I also cut myself another board like that Cedar one but I think it's Spruce and it's wider.

So that took a while but we still had time to mill some Walnut. We could have got more done but I'm tired of the kiln being loaded so we cleaned the entire thing out, rearranged everything, got the fresh Walnut in there with plenty of room to spare and I brought a bunch of dried Walnut home. That was a chore. It's pretty hot in the kiln. Sweated our asses off.

not bad here..overcast but just right for working except for blackflies are starting

got two snowblowers fixed today...both needed auger gears changed due to idiots using regular bolts instead shear bolts...one was lucky just stripped the brass gear and no damaged to worm....other needed complete swapout shafts and all

im soaked but itll pay off tomorrow when its hot and ill be doing nothing but enjoying a day off

also did a brake job for a friends daughter...rotors and pads easy peasy job nice car low mileage no seized up bolts

not actually done though..still some bolts and belts to install but i needed a water break

The guys who did the brakes on my wifes car this morning said they had to heat up a few bolts. I was a little surprised by that because it's not a very old car and only has maybe 35k-36k miles or so. But I was happy that the bill was only about $5 over their estimate.....which was much cheaper than the dealership wanted. The dealership said it would be $1700! They're fucking crazy! I don't care if the brake pads are made of freakin' gold dust....I'm not paying that much for brakes on anything!

Just saw the neighbor lady in her yard. I waved as I walked by. She didn't wave back and gave me a nasty look. Fuck her! She doesn't like us because my dog nearly killed her cat and I didn't offer to pay the vet bill. Well....I told her numerous times what would happen if her cats came in the yard. And maybe she also doesn't like us because she is super religious and I'm sure she's heard me, my wife and our friends talking and drinking beer on the deck and carrying on in our very non-religious manner.

She just started a fire. I'm having a fire tonight too so I'm sure she will be happy that my heathen friends will be over. :)

And it probably pisses her off that her dad (whose house it is) gets along with me perfectly fine and has for many years. They are total freeloaders...living off the old man. Her sisters fiance is one of my best friends so I hear the dirt. $25 total per month for 3 unempolyed adults to live there and not do shit besides mow the grass.

Another deer story... It's the young ones, last years brood that do the most damage to the plants here. They were born after a really severe winter where the mommas had very little food... So they have this "issue" of eating anything slightly green.

Awhile back someone, I think it was Orison, mentioned Irish Spring soap as a deterrent so one time that I was in Walmart watching the stupid people I picked up an 8 pack of Irish Spring original. I figured if it didn't work I would at least have soap for awhile. While planting around the new patio I decided to cut up a coupe of bars and spread them around... For the most part things have been left alone out there, not sure if it's the soap or they just hadn't been around. But the other day I noticed one of those pieces had been moved. I went to pick it up and put it back where I had it and noticed it had deer teeth marks in it... Damn youngin' was trying to eat Irish Spring soap.

A big storm rolled through in the middle of the night. Tornadoes hit a few miles west of us. My wife woke me up at about 3 am when the sirens were going off. Her and our daughter went to the basement. The power was out. I grabbed a beer and sat on the front porch to watch the storm. The wind was crazy and it was raining sheets of rain. I told her there was no tornado near us because of that. If it stopped raining suddenly....then you go to the basement because shit just got real.

Anyway....trees down all over the place to the west. I'm glad we don't have a land line or any advertisements. I'll just sit here and listen to the birds and someone else can go to work today. We're not rolling out unless the power company calls my cell phone.
