The triplets softball team had a bad day yesterday which means I didn't have to get up early to go watch them today. They were eliminated yesterday.

They've never lost like they did yesterday. Lots of them cried, mostly being angry with how they played. A few cried when they hit a pop fly and were caught out. These little girls have some growing to do.

 

I enjoy reading some of the "trolls" more than I do some of the regulars.

 

Just back from taking Grace (dog) for a walk in the cemetery. We got caught in a heavy downpour, thunder and lightning. We finally got back to the car and drove home. When we got here (about a mile or so) the sun was out. go figure.

 

I saw our usual deer in the back yard yesterday morning and then they ran across the street in front of the car when I came home late last night.

It's a buck and a button.

I guess the doe is with fawn somewhere.

 

I witnessed an animal abduction and homicide today. I was sitting on the deck when I heard a loud squealing noise. The dog came running out of the house to investigate. There was a crow in the neighboring yard (not the cat lady, the place I used to live in) and 2 or 3 rabbits were running towards it from different directions. It lifted off the ground with a still-squealing baby bunny and landed on the roof of the garage across the alley. It only took a little longer for the squealing to stop. Poor dude! Probably the same ones I was trying to protect from the dog a while back.

It's not just you. They're racist towards me for being black too. And I'm a Nicaraguan peanut farmer. They used to have a thing against peanut farmers but that seems to have blown over. It was mostly that Tyrsonswood guy being a peanut hater.

 

I would consider skyping with you bp because I am not convinced you are black.....I am convinced you are white and saying stereotypically silly things that don't make other black people look very flattering

Now I feel misled. That hurts!

 

been storming on and off all weekend and much of the week before. didn't close the roads over the hill though. convention hotel booked solid. slept at home instead of trying to get a room. not a problem living in the same town. well not a big one. meant not staying for the late night dance, or getting there early saturday morning, so i missed the cryspy cream doughnut dogs this year. and skipped sunday which is probably still going on.

i'll find out in another couple of days whether they closed the con by overthrowing biggest little brother.

well i wouldn't be surprised if they get more snow on the top. looks like what they got on friday completely melted by the time i when home saturday.

but i'll never forget june 2nd of 68, when it snowed 8 feet in 8 hours. on donner summit. in california.

Here's one I cut yesterday. I don't think I like it as much as the Cedar but it's cut a little thicker and longer than the Cedar I posted before. No idea what I'm going to do with it. Maybe a bench for the deck? The log was dry but not rotted. This pic was taken after the first application of linseed oil. It was sucking it right up. I put nearly a whole can of oil into this slab this afternoon. Not sure if I can stain it after that...or if I'll even want to....or if I'll even want to keep it. I'm open to ideas.

But it's the stuff my friend is making his picnic table from only we cut his stuff a little thicker.
