It rained last night and this morning.

Now there's blazing sun but we're supposed to get something like 3" of rain yet today.

My son, his wife, and all 4 granddaughters made it to Panama City Beach, Florida. They will spend the week there for softball tournaments and beach time in between games. With the older granddaughter and the triplets on separate teams it'll be tricky but if they get eliminated from the games early on, that gives them more beach time.

Our daughter is going to see fireworks with a friend of hers so we're not going. Fine with me. It's kind of more of a pain in the ass than it's worth in my town anyway.

Going to be watching tonight's GD show online (on tv but with the laptop hooked up) in a little while. Anyone else watching tonight? If you have Sirius, you can listen to the show for free on the GD channel.

It'll be here at the Hotel Twilight Zone California for me tonight...

I have my firecrackers going though, I promise. lol ;)

This is a real different 4th than others have been.

2 friends of mind died exactly one week apart this past week...one Monday before last and the other one was killed by his father the preacher this past Monday...I'd probably go over there and celebrate if it weren't for all that. anyway...hopefully not tmi.

just saying being here with the cats and Mama (in the TZ) is ok too. :)

Yes Lynn; I'll be going to PCB also.

Hopefully my daughter and her girlfriend can keep the arguing to a minimum. They got in a squabble tonight about my daughter wanting to hang out with her friends and the girlfriend not wanting to hang out with them. The killer is that we all just found out the friends are staying pretty much right across the street from us on vacation. I knew the girls would squabble with the amount of alcohol that will be ingested during vacation week, but I did not know it would start a week before we leave.

I know the feeling Bbad. The back of my leg feels like it shrinks anytime I'm not up moving. The joint doesn't cause me to limp as badly as that whole muscle thing, until I get them stretched back out.

One of the lines need to be strapped down... too long a span without supports. It's called "hammering"... Seriously, that's a technical term.

And you've had massive rains... Could be someone just stuck a board under a pipe and figured it's beer time... 30+ years later it's "hammer time"
