saw a rusty screw in my winter tires

i guess its better to find it now instead of after installing them

easy fix but i wish people would be more careful theres really no reason for screws and nails to be on the roadway ...its mostly these idiot construction workers throwing tools and stuff into the back of their pickups...and people hauling construction waste to the dump with unsecured loads

Trying to start that Poulan saw with a cordless drill is a no go... For one I can't operate the saw with that side cover off and drilling a hole after removing all the recoil bits means more parts to buy to put it back to pull start. The second reason is there's so much compression the drill really doesn't want to spin it up. Not the best drill, but it's not a wimp either. Regular power drill didn't do much better. I'll have to get new parts in order to use this saw again... And continue to break my elbow.

Got down a dead Cherry tree today, tricky placement along a tree line. Went okay considering I could hardly get to it, and got it all cut into chunks with the modified 42cc 16 inch saw. Tree was over 20 inches at 4 foot where I had to cut it because of the old metal fence below that. The crotch was bigger than that but was able to get it to split, so it was cut in two passes. Was bringing the 4th load down to the house and rolled the wagon... Drawbar is totally fugged. Gotta make a new bar for that. When it rolled it, of course, had to come to rest on the tiedown strap release clasps. I had to roll it over further to get it undone... like 1000 pounds or better. At least the load was strapped down well.

Also, if it had a heavy duty drawbar it probably would have flipped the tractor too.

I really need to build this trailer I have planned, this wagon is getting beat. Never was designed for this kind of work.

Gotta go cut up and split some of this cherry and then start a fire for tonight... It's full Moon.

This is going to be a long night. We don't go on until 11:30. Probably play until 1:30 or 2. Sometimes we can get the slots shuffled around but the promoter for tonight insists we play last.

Kind of funny....you spend however long opening for other bands....hoping to be the headliner one day. Then you get to start playing that slot and you do it for a long time and get used to it. The day comes along that you get booked as an opener and you're like...WTF....we're opening? But then you do it and think "Hey...this is alright! We're done earlier and we can enjoy the headliner or go home early". Then you start wishing you could play that slot all the time. Grass is always greener on the other side, I guess.

don't think i've ever been much into wearing shorts. where i grew up and the kind of places i would rather live, people generally prefer to have something between their skin, and probable contact with poison oak, blackberry thorns, and ticks. athletic shoes don't generally cut it either. work boots are probably the best thing to avoid snake bites, but comfortable regular shoes are ok if you watch where you put your feet.

What a strange night. From the crowd to the other bands we played with. Everything about this show was kind of odd. As possibly our biggest critic...I can confidently say that we fucking burned it down tonight. We played maybe our best set out of our last 10 or 20 shows. It was so much fun...followed by some drama. I don't even know for sure what's going on. I think our bass player is losing it. I suppose it's a long story.

It wasn't the drummer but he baited a couple of changes and fooled me but he was wrong and I'm sure my quick glance got him back on track. That was kind of on me for buying it but you cover that stuff. No biggie.

Why am I awake after 4 hours of sleep? This is bullshit.

Too chilly to go boating today, too early to set my shit up and start practicing for next weekend with the other band, too much coffee to go back to sleep. I guess I have some things to do in the wood shop today. I predict an afternoon nap.
