5 below has a lot of girly things.

 

went to a doc apt today.....talked her into a blood test......apparently it is frowned upon to get a blood test unless you are sick..........they frown on maintenance checks lol.......my doc is a 50 yr old single woman....she's goddamned beautiful.....she sitting there and mtter of fact like says to me...''I was away on parental leave...I adopted a 7 yr old little girl''


well jesus Christ.......I am usually fairly tough skinned in public.....but damned if I didn't immediately tear up as she started telling about how this poor orphan kid that no one wanted now has a mom and lives on a farm with horses and a herd of sheep and hens...3 great danes and 2 mutts and basically everything a doctor//mom can provide...

made me feel good that some good stuff still happnin'

 

I meaan she can sell them for more than that...its a dumb joke mow that you pointed out how I didn't make it clear enough

That's the woodpile that nobody burns...

 

I brought home as much wood as my truck wood hold....wood I have brought more if I could of...yes I wood of..

we staryed at a friends cottage because buddy has his farmhouse shut down for winter...he thought we would be more comfy with water....but there was so much mouse shit and the water stunk like sulfur so bad we couldn't run the taps.......so I drank.....and I drank....and moked

 

I'm so sad for Piper, having to stay in the kennel here except for potty time.

She really misses her "mom and brother". The boy is here on week day afternoons but she can't get out and play with him.

She hasn't eaten good for 24 hours.

I'm looking on line and finding doggy enrichment toys I can make for her to play while she's lying down.

Poor baby dog.

It's just about to make me sick with worry for her.

Aerianne... try bacon for the pup, maybe? I haven't read the old posts but is the pup just homesick? If so, bacon! My dogs would sing opera for bacon.

 

I am doing some late night sweeping/mopping.......less activity allows me to concentrate on efficient slow stoned cleaning

never knew what desorono was...ive seen the bottles that have that cube top on them....my dad used to always have some in the back of his booze cupboard....it is really good in 11pm coffee

 

Piper tore the ACL in her knee on Friday evening so she's staying with me for as long as she needs to. I'm home all the time and I have a big kennel for her to rest in. She's my daughter's dog.

 

Yard work today.... 'n tomorrow.

 

My brother called me this morning to tell me that the flowers from his wife's grave have gone missing. I handle them for him. Their are now 4 graves at our family plot.

I need to replace them and this time of year is difficult to do. I like to wait a little longer to put out some red and white flowers for Winter.

They rest of the family has been gone long enough that I feel it's okay to put out new flowers just twice a year. I usually do something around Easter that will look good through Spring and Summer. Then at Thanksgiving I do a red and white to get through Christmas and Valentines.

Poor brother. His wife passed this past New Year's Eve.

I'll scrounge up some interim Fall flowers and take them to the cemetery.

 

It is so nice here especially for this time of the year. I am enjoying the fresh air coming in through the windows today.

I had a strange call from a friend yesterday. Something is not right and I felt like she wanted to talk but did not know where to begin. One of those weird calls that I know is not what it seems. If I do not hear from here before the weekend I am going to invite her over or out for brunch. Even is she does not want to share what is bothering her it will make for a good mental break for her and I enjoy her company.

Aeri, Piper is probably lonely for the family and also maybe not feeling so great with the meds and pain. Hugs to her and I hope she feels better soon.

i wish more days like this but i know were expecting snow on the weekend


i took advantage of this nice day to go have lunch at one of the beaches....the picnic tables were put away but i found a nice place to park that was quiet and away from the idiots who use the beach as a pet toilet

 

I used the great weather to clean up around the yard...I totally cleaned my coop...scraped down to the wood.....washed the car for pictures to sell it on.....went and picked up 2 loads of wood....one from the neighbor who needed me to lose a tree for him....one from someone who had offcuts from a deck....lots of useable pieces to hammer together something or other..........cut a bunch of wood too

 

i did a bit of work too...had to sharpen the mower blade after hitting the water valve...then used it to mulch more leaves

also looked at my shed roof to see where the leak is but lost ambition quick

i have no energy and still have a nerve or something pinched in my neck bones
