Bbad, if you could get somebody to do this to your neck you might feel better.

You have to lay on the bed, on your back with your neck and head hanging off. The other person takes your head in their hands and gently pulls some, stretching your neck. Then the push your head slowly forward until your chin touches your chest. They repeat the process a couple of times.

It helps for the hand and fingers tingling. I don't know about your pain.

A dog chased my granddaughter almost into the house today.

All 4 of the younger grandkids and I were going outside. I told them to wait and we'd all go out together. I don't know why I wanted it like that today. I must've had intuition.

Of course, the boy and one of the girls headed out before me. As I was standing up I heard a big dog barking and my granddaughter screaming. The dog ran between her and the grandson and chased her all the way to the door.

When I made sure she hadn't been bitten and left her in the house with her dad, I went outside and the across the street neighbors were already calling animal control. It pissed those guys off really bad because they saw it happening.

I went back in to tell my son about it and he saw the dog out there again. I went out and it was barking at me with it's hackles all raised. I picked up a big walking stick from beside the door and ran it off.

I went next door to my house to get my hubby's pellet gun and went back. That damn dog came up barking again so I also called animal control.

They came out and caught the dog. It was a big Rotty/Chow mix. I don't know why he hated the kids so bad. He wasn't quite that bad to me or the animal control officer.

The last time we needed a notary public we went to our bank. There was no charge. It was about a year ago.

Been pretty busy lately. I went and got all of the lumber my friend and I milled this spring. It turned out pretty decent. Oak, Cherry and Hickory. I've got that out in the garage now so I had to rearrange a bunch of other wood to make room. I also have some nice Walnut, Cedar, Ash and more Oak. And then I have a bunch of all of the same stuff that's kind of marginal. I should get rid of all of that marginal stuff but it's still usable so I hate to. I also have plywood, regular lumber, huge timbers from my house, framing from my house, the rest of the old flooring, etc, etc.....just a shitload of wood. I really need to get rid of some of it.

And I cooked dinner tonight. It's not too often that I do but.....if I do then I pick what we're having. Steaks on the grill, mashed potatoes made from scratch with cheese and bacon in them, and brussels sprouts, onions and peppers sauteed in the bacon grease with diced bacon in that also. Perfect.

    That sounds good, Wiz!

I got the cemetery flowers put out today.

I raked the wet leaves off the drive into the bed I need them in. It's the third time this Fall I've done that. I had that whole bed mulched out and growing flowers a couple of years ago but my daughter was afraid to walk the dog past it. She was afraid she'd step on a snake in the dark. One Saturday while I was gone, she cleaned all the leaves out of it. [IMG] It overgrew with tall funky grass that I'm once again smothering with leaves.

Life here, in this North Georgia swamp, is drudging right along. We've got two more inches of rain coming but it's actually supposed to get cool on Sunday.

It's kind of good though it's been so rainy because it keeps us in more with Piper who would be miserable if it was nice and sunny while she is cooped up. She's improving but they say that's when you have to be careful to not let them overdo or re-injure. She will run out of pain medication Saturday morning. I don't know if she has to go back for a re-check or if the vet will just let us pick up more. She's supposed to be x-rayed on the next Saturday.

This dog walking in one small area, covered in leaves, has gotten 3 out of 4 pairs of my sneakers dirty with dog poop! I try to scoop it up while I remember where it is and that's usually when I step in it. I have got to put them in the washer tonight.

No, it's only turning to swampland now, with all these days of rain, heat, and humidity.

The mosquitoes have been busy. The sun is out now and there are about 50 bazillion, trillion mosquitoes per square foot out there.

We dog-sat for some friends last night. Our dog has the schedule down. The other dog? Not so much. I got up to let the dogs out at 4:45 am. At 5 am our friends dog was excited and ready to go for a jog because she does that every morning. At 5:30 she was playing with loud squeaky toys in the living room, then she was trying to jump up on the bed and get us to get out of bed for a while, and on...and on. At a couple of points, our dog looked at the other dog and then looked at me like "What the hell is wrong with her?" Our dog just wanted to curl up and go back to sleep with us. Sigh.
