I don't know if the one I saw today was that big or not but it had two grinding wheels. Each one looked like it was maybe an inch thick (or slightly more) and the guy said it had bearings which make it take a long time to wind down after you shut it off. It seems to me like you would want a wire wheel or something else instead of two of the same grinding wheels. But...that really isn't my forte so maybe I just don't know enough about it.

So what do you guys think would be a fair price for that welder? I know nothing about it except for the very limited info I've already told you. I can find out more but do you guys have a "can't pass on" price or a top end? I did a google image search and it basically looks like most of the welders with that kind of engine. Let's assume it runs well. What should I be going for on a price?

i have no idea about the welder

sounds like a bench grinder if it has two wheels...i just automatically thought it was a hand tool

Yup. It's a bench grinder. I have a hand-held Makita grinder that I use about once or twice a year. It's pretty handy when you need it but that's also why I know I don't really need a bench grinder.

I've got one of those old bench grinders... Takes about 30 seconds to get up to speed and 5 minutes to shut down. I used to have a "Thor" gear drive 1/2 drill... Don't remember what happened to that thing.

No Idea on that welder. Prices would vary by location and availability... There's also a "collectability" factor due to the Wisconsin engine. Old tractor guys would buy it just to steal the engine from.

Goddamnit! I hate typing extensive posts on my phone. It rarely goes how i want and usually results in a waste of time or a post that is full of errors and far from as clear as i intended or if i had written it on the computer...

im guessing its more like a 3 or 4 cylinder engine...not the tractor kind

My daughter took Piper home, night before last. Now, she wants me to go get her and bring her back. Piper won't behave at home because she doesn't have a kennel to stay in.

I know my daughter missed her so much and I honestly cannot believe she lasted like ten days without seeing Piper. I can't really blame her.

I hope Piper hasn't had a set back.

They have been making toilet paper rolls more and more narrow. Before long it will be an inch wide and totally worthless for its purpose. :dizzy2: They do think we are stupid. We used to buy pounds of coffee and now you are lucky if it is 10-12 ounces.

It has happened with a lot of products as of late. Rather than increase the price drastically they reduce the packing and put a small increase on the product.

Yeah we are just not swift enough to figure that out. :)
