I just went to a funeral home yesterday, looks like It will be Saturday get to go again.

 

I'm going to admit that you moving and having to get rid of it didn't occur to me, seriously. that's because I can be a dummyhead.

My cousin has 2 degrees in music - one in performing and one in "teaching and techinque/something" from Texas Tech. One is a Master's. At one time she had a borsendorfer (or something that I'm too lazy to look up) but seeing as she has lived in probably 20 states, traveling became an issue. Rather than tear up this truly prized possession she let it go and got a nice electric keyboard kind of thing years later but there is nothing like a piano, esecially that baby grand whateverspecialname piano.

The one I play now is the same one my father had before I was even a twinkle in his eye. I have no idea how old it is, and it needs a little tweaking now; but, I honest to God cannot imagine life without that piano in this house and it available to me at all times.

funeral homes are places for us to work on character development.. usually its people that don't need any more character that keep getting more, has been my observation

ya no shit....a few free in my area right now on kijiji....I am going to pull mine out from the wall and see if there is an info plate...I see oline that nordheimer is the oldest musical instrument company in Canada but the valuable ones were made before mr nordheimer died and heintzman took over

and gun shots...I was out side dealing with my 15 pet hens when I heard a burst from the blind out back and on the other side of the field...maybe 160-180 yards away....a few seconds later a shower of buck shot comes rifling through my trees and falls on my yard....so I will be turning away when I hear shots from now on because I don't want one in the face

it would ruin my modelling career

That is plain retarded that shipping would be that much. I don't blame you and it is too bad as they will lose business and support for a good cause.

About the music Wiz, no reason you can not do both. Piano never goes away and will come back to you and you can enjoy it, even if only playing for yourself.

I hear shooting all the time around here... Usually it's high powered rifle and quite often coming out of a 30 round magazine. I doubt they have the gray matter to realize there are houses out here.

One guy was shooting well after dark, must'a been trying out the new night vision scope.

 

Quick random story about kindness....short version....

Iowa State hosts Buffalo tonight in basketball. An ISU assistant coach found out that the Buffalo coach's wife is battling cancer. He started a fundraising campaign 2-3 days ago. ISU fans donated over $10,000 to the coach of a visiting team (probably could have been much more if people knew about it). I just watched a video of the coach discussing what it means to come here and play and be around this environment. It was nice. Stay classy, Iowa State Cyclones!

Around here, it is unlawful to shoot within 200 yards of a dwelling.

 

As if the guys around here would even care... It's 300 yards in Ohio.

 

I think it's 300 yds here too. I don't think I'd take too kindly to people firing toward my house. I think I'd go find them and have a little chat.

 

Who knows whose house they are shooting towards... My point is they don't either, nor would they care.

 

I'm taking two kitties to the Pet Snip mobile unit in the morning; one spay and one neuter.

That will be 12 that we've taken care of in the past year or so.

probably same or more here....I would think since they been there hunting for decades they measured long ago....they could easily put thei blind in a better spot,closer.but dont

to be fair these gentlemen stop and talk to me and go out of their way to ride way up the road to the other end before they cross on the atv's...they could cut in right behind the house if they wanted to

and this year with all the other hunters I have only had to pick up 1 beer can on th road////last year was a dozen or so
