is it oil fired?

the reset usually happens if theres an igniter problem..or if the fuel line freezes (which obviously isnt a problem where you are)


i think one time it was a limit switch problem too but its been awhile since i worked on those (i had a neighbour that always bugged me when she had furnace problems)

lazy day today....i'm cleaning inside and tidying preparing for the ''big clean'' where I actually move things and cclean under them and possibly rearrange furniture for the fifty thousandth time

 

yes - well the fuel (oil) people are called to fill the 100+ gal drum, and that is what keeps the system going. I say 100+ because that is what they always deliver, and its never allowed to get empty.

You know the more I've thought about it, I know that last year - before everything was replaced - it had to be "re-set", but that is the only time I ever recall it having to be re-set. I have since asked the son if he remembered anything about the heating having to be re-set and he said he never recalled that needing to be done and that that didn't make sense. lol

the lady that bugged me had full maintenance insurance but still always asked me to check things before i would call the service guy


thats about all i could do was press reset...a few times i knew the line was froze so i illegally installed a line heater and the oil delivery people never noticed so that worked for a long time ...another time was her fan and the service guy had to install a new one


near the end she was in bad dementia stages and would crank the damn heat right up full blast (now she is in a care home)

My dad had surgery yesterday...Everything went good should be out of hospital in a day or two...
