Aw, He is always listening but sometimes His answer is “no.”

And in keeping with the theme of the thread...

    I believe in God.

  3. I am also a believer.

I didn't word that quite right.
It has to do more with me, and not Him.
Sometimes I wouldn't listen to an annoying complainer either :p
And my faith is not based on whether His answer is no or yes.

But all in all, Allahu Akbar, God is the greatest.

I've been to The Dead Sea. Water there has an intense vinegar taste.

God and I told each other go fuck yourself some time ago.

That's what happened in my mind, anyway.

Eh... After a crown of thorns and spikes through hands and feet, I figured He could take it.
That's where things can get... Complicated.

  11. Can't speak for Him.
But I figure He'd rather take thorns and spikes over your "fuck you" :openmouth:

But I also figure you dgaf :tearsofjoy:

My Give A Damn is busted.

If He's got a problem He can be a man and tell me Himself. Preferably before I die. I'd hate eternal torment to be how He tells me.

Eric, you seem to have traveled very widely. If I could travel anywhere, cost and safety aside, I think I would visit Israel, Egypt and other significant Biblical sites. I am not what I would consider a religious person, but to see and feel and breathe in the area where such history was born--I imagine the experience would be ineffable.

"Hope dies last"? Is that the proper English translation, and what is the meaning?

You would definitely enjoy Jerusalem. A lot of biblical history there to enjoy. Egypt is heavy ridden with beggars and solicitors at known tourist attractions. I avoided Cairo for that reason, and never got to see the pyramids or the Sphinx.
I did walk Mount Sinai though. That was peaceful, and the harassment of tourists was minimal.

  19. I've been to Egypt (before the revolution).
It's not really a place I'd go back to.
